You’re lucky you had the opportunity to see the collection in its new temporary setting. Not everything but the best representative pieces of the Frick collection, a lot of which was acquired from J. P. Morgan’s estate.

I have been watching Cocktails with a Curator on Friday’s at 5 all this last year, which gives highlights of the collection, focussing on one piece in each episode. They have three curators who split the shows, two guys and a lady. Very entertaining and informative. About 20 to 25 minutes.

Where do you watch Cocktails with a Curator?  I've searched for it on Comcast, Amazon Prime and Netflix.

    Natural Wonders of North America:

Regarding Paris Churches I agree with Sainte Chapelle ... The first time I went I was wondering what all the fuss was about...in the basement level... until I found the stairs up to the main attraction.

Sacre-Coeur, Montmartre I loved too. I was so lucky to be there on a day where the masonry was being cleaned. I have some great side by side pictures of the dirty grimy masonry next to the just cleaned masonry. Night and day difference. This was about 5 years ago so I assume it still glows.

  3. Thank you. Thing is, I don't want to have to tell them I'm overweight beforehand. Nobody else has to inform escorts of their physical attributes beforehand, so why should I? I know, it makes sense because if they can't perform with a overweight guy then it would mutually beneficial to let them know upfront but that experience would only add to my anxiety.

Get over the not telling them beforehand. Many clients do so in order to increase the likelihood of a good experience.

  4. My friend just wrote me and he said he was badly mistaken and that Go Fund Me is only charging 30% of the first dollar, so 30 cents per donation, That in addition to the 15% which was my additional fee,

So that is a much more reasonable charge and I apologize to any who may have been misled by this posting.

Not a ripoff. You know the 15% fee going in. It's a convenience fee. Plus processing your credit card probably runs about 3%.

  5. ???Why didn't you just send him a check??? If a friend needs some money, and I want to give it to him, I'd just send the money. I don't see the logic in GoFundMe. Just organized begging.

It sounds like Purplekow was okay with service charge and later surprised to learn of the service charge on the receiving end thus making the use of gofundme questionable. I think it's a perfectly good subject to raise and there is nothing gained in scolding him for his generous spirit.

BTW, if the fees are accurate I think it is a rip-off. I hope their website clearly states that the recipient only receives 70% of the donation amount.

  6. Clients need to also understand that many Europeans who do advertise on Rentmen also advertise on Hunqz for less, so it's not good to say you saw them on Rentman. My Czech friends who always advertise on Hunqz for $200 advertise on Rentmen and ask $300 from it's customers. That seems pretty standard. Don't mention Rentman and ask or offer in local currency. Their local currency rate is almost always lower.

This statement above in red seems inconsistent. I think your ultimately saying we should pay in local currency for the best rate instead of dollars.
