Nothing I have written this morning about Kevin Spacey comes close to making him look as bad as he has made himself look.

Yep. And how unfortunate that they -- and the rest of us -- didn't get the official word from Spacey under different circumstances.
 
Because if he was going to come out from under his own rock, it would have been so much better to have the headline be about a two-time Oscar winner proudly sharing the fact that he is also a gay man.
 
But instead ...
 
Spacey makes a statement that plays right into the thinking of homophobes and to their long history of raising the specters of pedophilia or predation whenever gay men get a little too "tolerated" for their comfort.
 
So, this morning, some idiot who thinks less of you or me because we're gay, can turn to some other idiot and say, "You see, our kids aren't safe around them."

Even if your goal is to save your relationship, you should absolutely talk to a divorce lawyer to learn your rights. Frankly, the grounds for divorce, even adultery, rarely have anything to do with the financial disposition. You need to know the laws of your state, and it may temper his position if he learns that he can't really take everything from you. And his refusal to have sex may give you a lot of legal ammunition if you need it.
Having spent 40 years practicing family law, I can tell you that same-sex breakups are just as messy as opposite-sex divorces. So know your rights while you are trying to save the relationship.

She was so damn smart and informed. And yet so down to earth and friendly. I concur with with your other attributes s1conrad.

I watch the PBS News Hour almost every night--this is a total shock. I'll miss her sharp analysis, her cool demeanor and her radiant smile.

I hope she could enjoy her last days. She was great and will be missed. We need more journalists like her nowadays.

Very very sad...May she go in peace.

Holy fuck. I didn't even know she was ill. I always really liked her. I'm deeply saddened.

Gwen Ifill, the longtime news anchor who had served as a co-host of PBS’s NewsHour and as moderator of “Washington Week,” has died after a battle with cancer, PBS has confirmed. She was 61.
 
"I am very sad to tell you that our dear friend and beloved colleague Gwen Ifill passed away today in hospice care in Washington," WETA president and CEO Sharon percy Rockefeller wrote in an email to staff at the public TV station Monday. "I spent an hour with her this morning and she was resting comfortably, surrounded by loving family and friends... Earlier today, I conveyed to Gwen the devoted love and affection of all of us at WETA/NewsHour. Let us hold Gwen and her family even closer now in our hearts and prayers."

Just don't understand how the body of a child incites an uncontrollable lust in some people.

innocent until proven guilty folks. this is still America

I'm not considering him guilty of child porn until it's proven. I think that it's probably "normal" for his computers to be searched based on the arrest of his co-worker. They had a close / long-term relationship. I'll withhold judgement until there's proof he was involved. Until then, he's only guilty by association.
