  1. LMAO. I love when we make excuses for beautiful men who are scammers.

Believe me, they know EXACTLY what they are doing. Everytime.

I'm glad you enjoyed the massage, but you got scammed.

Huh? No baby. One cannot "get away with that" in NYC.

Our escorts / massage therapists may be cunty bitches, but so are our Johns.

Thanks for reporting out your experience here.

At least the next guy who hires him can't claim he "didn't know".

@nycman , totally agree with all your comments. You are right on target!

  2. I am not a newbie and can confirm that Takeshi is the guy in the pictures, looks great, and provides an excellent service. I would guess he was late 20’s to early 30’s. Cant wait until he returns to SF. He is well worth it

I am sure Takeshi is a great masseur, as you and other long time Forum members have attested to in this post. My observation was about the peculiar hit and run nature of the 2 Forum members as described in my post.

  3. I just saw this comment about Takashi and I have to disagree. I visit him regularly and it is the same guy in the pic. He is not 10-15 years older than the pic Those pics were taken when he was on vacation in May in Okinawa. He is probably in his early 30's, 5'10, 160 pounds. He is smooth, lean, fit and handsome. He gives a great massage, allows some mutual touching, and works hard to satisfy his clients. He doesn't seem like a boy to me.

I often use this massage-forum site to check masseurs before making a decision. After reading some comments about him, I felt it was unfair for him to be judged that way, so decided to sign up so that I can also write my comment here.

I have used him several times over the last two years and found his photos to be very accurate.

He provides a great massage, and as several other responders have said, “he uses his body to good effect while you’re being massaged. He lives in a relatively safe part of the City, has a very clean apartment and is a very pleasant person to speak with.

He is young, bright, sexy, has a beautiful body and gives a great interactive massage. If you’re looking for more, hire an escort.

Observation: Both Petman and eserd in the above posts joined the Forum as "Newbies" just to rave about Takashi and post the above glowing comments. They joined one day apart, June 25th and June 26th, just to post the glowing comments. It is their only comment posted in over a year, and BOTH have not visited the Forum since the exact same day, June 27th, 2018. In addition, one is 72 years old and one is 74 years old. Eserd even says he "regularly" visits the massage forum.( yet has not been here since the day he made his one and only post) Sounds like they are the same person, and connected to Takashi, or possibly even might be Takashi. Strange.

  4. I was going to give him a try.....but that beard of his looks like it was painted on with black shoe polish, so I took a pass. If you are getting some grey in your beard and are self conscious about it, shave it off or go for the salt and pepper look. But doing a black shoe polish dye job is a huge buzz kill for me. Looks like he rolled black paint on with a paint roller, then used the same paint and painted on 2 eyebrows. (reference photo #2 in his Masseurfinder ad)

  5. Ok I've googled and read half the internet on this, but I'm interested in experiences from real people. Has anyone ever gotten anything from getting a massage from the guys we typically talk about here (I.e. Masseurfinder, rentmasseur)?

What I look for in a massage is a good therapeutic massage with a HE. I know HIV, chlamydia, gonorrhea are not a concern, but what about syphilis? Or other skin-to-skin diseases?

Hope I don't come across as being a hypochondriac, but it's always on the back of my mind, and I feel I would just enjoy every session so much more if it's something I really need not worry about.

of course, feel free to pm also.

I have had tons of massages over the past 10 years with no problems. I practice safe sex if it goes past the massage, and also after the massage I always take a hot, soapy shower. Just practice safe sex and good hygiene and you should be fine. Life is a risk. When you get in your car tommw, you might get hit by another car, but you still drive. When you get on a plane, the plane might crash, but you still fly. Life is a risk, but you gotta live your life. So go enjoy your massage. Just practice safe sex if it goes past the massage, and take a hot, soapy shower after. Get your massage, and relax and enjoy it. Your other option is to never have another massage, and that ain't no fun!

  6.

Now that is confusing. If you click on the first link it says he is based in New York and has multiple photos. If you click on the second link it says his ad is a "New Listing" (as in "new advertiser') based in SF....and only has 2 photos. Plus, both ads have different phone numbers.(?) If he was based in NY and visiting SF he would have a "Visiting Now" icon on his ad. But his SF ad says "New Listing".....not "Visiting Now". Something weird is going on. Any ideas?

  7. Here is another profile:

    https://rentmasseur.com/TravisThailand

His ad reads: "No matter the style of massage you prefer you will always get quality Therapuetic Massage"

I talked/texted this weekend. I asked what kind/style of massage he did. He stated sensual and erotic. I asked if he did therapeutic, he said No. I pasted the above quote from his profile to him - crickets !!!

Another I talked to over the weekend. Again ad vs what he stated are different.

    https://rentmasseur.com/Michael_V

I can understand your frustration. I checked both links of the masseurs you contacted. Both ads have over the top , highly erotic photos. One masseur is lying naked on the beach. Both masseurs are almost naked in all their photos. Plus, both have high prices. To avoid experiencing angst in the future, probably best if you are looking for a therapeutic massage, to contact masseurs who have lower prices and are not flaunting their bodies. Mostly clothed photos and lower price points will assure the masseur is offering mostly therapeutic services. Good luck :)

  8. He is fairly new to SF, small studio on Gough Street. (Hayes Valley). Make sure you check out and read thru the website....it will give you a great overview. I have been to him once when I was in town for a meeting. As you will see from the website....it is strictly therapeutic. I used his special rate of $60 for 60 minutes. The massage was okay...no mutual touch....no happy ending. He was not nude. (I was) If you are looking for a basic massage, try him out. I would not repeat, pressure was to light for my taste, plus there were NO sensual elements, just as his website implies.

  9. It should not be a struggle to book a session with a masseur, no matter how "wonderful" or "hot" they are. More important is how professional they are in responding to my request. I send a text requesting a session. If no reply after 1 day, I try again. If no response, I move on. My time is way to valuable. and life is way to short to pursue a masseur for a session. I could understand if there were only a few masseurs out there, but there are TONS of masseurs to choose from, especially in LA where Will is. I have booked with many masseurs who have promptly responded to my first request. I give my business to masseurs who respect my time and respond, not ones who make me chase them down.

  10. My experience is very similar. Was good massage but got to the sensual on the early side and it was hot and all. All in, we ended early. Wish the massage part was a little longer and it would have been perfect. Hot body.

At the point of payment, you should ask any masseur who only provides 45 minutes when you book a 60 minute massage session what the 45 minute rate is. If they act confused at the question, tell them they only provided 45 minutes (or less) and that's all you are paying for. Fair is Fair.

  11. Wondering if I'm missing something (semi-new to this) - a provider usually asks if there areas to focus on or if I'm having trouble with anything - usually as I'm getting undressed/already on the table.

Is there any code here or is it really what is bothering me/what is sore? If I'm just sore from lifting 6x/week, am I to say "everything" or "nothing specifically"?

    Maybe I'm overthinking it.

    TIA

You are overthinking it. 99% of the time it is just what it sounds like. No code there. Innocent. They just want to know "what areas to focus on, or if you are having trouble with anything." In our minds that can be read as an innuendo, but most always it is innocent when they ask.

  12. Of course he did

Did you pay it? I have been in similar situations where the masseur thinks he can short me on time, etc. just because he is hot and sexy. If they do short me, I do not pay the full amount. I tell them they can either provide the full amount of time I booked for, or I will prorate my fee for the time they did provide. If we don't call these masseurs on this behavior, they will continue doing it to the next client, and that next client can be any of us. By not saying anything, and paying in full, we are giving the message to the masseur that what they did was okay. And it is not okay. Just being "nice. hot and sexy" does not justify being given inferior service, and then letting them get away with it.

  13. I have to say that I have been seeing Ryan West in NYC almost every month for the past 5 years, and have never once had a negative experience, or heard of him doing such a thing. In that 5 years I think only once has he called me and asked me if it would be possible to reschedule and I was happy to to be able to do that for him, as I work freelance myself.

Also, as far as "little conversation"-many people I know like to relax in a massage and not converse, and Ryan is an excellent masseur who concentrates on the job. I have read several posts from people on here who hate chatty masseurs and complain they talk too much. He has also never shorted me on time. Just putting this out there for balance-throwing him "off your list" and "never hiring him" may be jumping to unfair conclusions.

I get your point. Sounds like your sessions have always worked out great. The posts on this thread go back and forth on clients who ended up happy with the session, like yourself....and clients who ended up not happy, shorted on time, cancelled on last minute, etc. There are so many masseurs who have had no negative feedback at all in posts that I feel more comfortable going to them, and not wasting my time that I might catch Ryan West on one of his bad days. My time is very valuable, and I can't chance being a client who ends up like others in this thread who did not get what they signed up for. Thanks for your feedback .....sounds like he is working out great for you.

  14. Is it just me... or am I going CRAZY .. that guys are still RACIST is the Gay Community...

I post Massage ADS on Google / Twitter and Massages(s) Site since 2001

My Pics / Stats etc are posted etc... for Less Back n Fourth Emails and 100 Texts

Then Guys Show up I still hear:

    - Oh Did not not you was BLACK

    - Sorry Not into BLACKS

    - Wished I had know you was BLACK I would not have shown up

    - Geez Wiz Thought you was WHITE

-You Sounded WHITE on the phone...

This Crap is getting on my last NERVES !!!!

Any other(s) CMT out there with this same problem........

I am confused. If you post your photos, and you are black, then why is a client surprised you are black when they show up? It does not sound like a race issue, since if I see a photo of a white masseur, an Asian masseur, or an African American masseur, then I know who I am going to receive a massage from. So if you post your photos as a black man, why would a client be surprised that a black man answers the door? As I mentioned, it sounds like some other issue is at play here.

  15. Interesting how he posts his own reviews (in broken English).....and then replies and thanks himself for the the posted review (in the exact same broken English as was in the review). Someone needs to let him know what a huge red flag that is, before he gets to his 99th review, which at his current pace of posting his own reviews, will be in October. :)

  16. Canceled on me 10 mins before our appt saying he had worked all day and was tired.

How unprofessional. This guy is off my list. I will never hire him. He should have at least offered you a free massage session for the inconvenience, or at least 50% off a future session. I wonder how Ryan West would feel if you called him 10 minutes before your scheduled session with him, and said " I was working at the office all day and am tired" and then cancelled your session.

  17. I tried to set up a time with JR, but he was difficult. He initially wanted to charge 300 for 90 minutes, which I thought was steep, but not to bad. Then as I was about to buzz his apt, he sent a text saying he only had 45 -60 minutes and the 300 rate he quoted for 90 minutes would be the same for 45-60. He got angry when I said that made no sense to me. i just dropped it and walked away.

And that incident right there should end anyone even remotely considering a massage session with JR.

  18. Thanks for the feedback. What would be a red flag for you?

I think you have "analysis paralysis." The odds that law enforcement would go to the trouble of posting a massage ad on a gay massage site......and then try to "entrap" clients that answer that ad is extremely low, almost zero. In the list of priorities that law enforcement faces, I would have to say entrapping gay men seeking a massage with "extras" is probably at the bottom of their list. They don't have the time, personnal or resources for something like that. They have much higher priorities. If they ever do go after people who provide "erotic massage" services, it is usually a female massage parlor that they have had complaints about from neighbors, and they can bust a large amount of people at once. Not the scenario you are describing....where they post an ad, you answer it, and one by one they bust clients. It is WAY to time consuming for them and not cost effective. They just don't have the time. So just relax and go get a massage. The odds of you being hit by lightning are higher than you getting busted by a "massage sting" as you described, especially from an independent masseur. Go enjoy your massage.
