When I was in my 20s, I often had massages from guys older than I; when I could save up enough money. ($60-$100)
 
All through my 30s and early 40s, I had regulars, with whom I developed wonderful bonds.
 
Now that I'm pushing 50, I have rarely found a 20-something masseur that I would repeat. The prices are very high, skills minimal, and up selling seems the norm. It's as if the business strategy is for a high volume of one-offs, rather than dependable, grateful regulars.

I had wanted to try Adam, even with his sky-high prices, but the other posting is a bit too creepy for me. So, the former.

I had somewhat similar experiences. I started getting massage at 25. Most of the therapists were older and eager to play. In my 30's and 40's, I had many pleasurable experiences with therapists, often around my age. Now that I'm older, I tend to look for therapists over 30, although I have been surprised by the interaction I've had with a few therapists in their 20's.

He does have a beautiful face. Looks like a musician. But he's expensive for taking a chance.

If you think about it, many people that enter the profession end up getting weeded out by the market. The younger someone is, in general the earlier in their career they will be, so you have a somewhat higher likelihood of getting one of the guys who will be weeded out because the field simply is not for them. Yes, there are older duds as well, but it's probably a bit more likely if they've been doing it a while they are reasonably good at it.

I do believe that many on here, as I have come to understand, would rather not openly bash or outline specifics so as to not create a hate- board of commentary. Read between the lines?

DON'T DO IT. When a vast majority of people have the same experience, it generally is the experience you will have. There is just a huge disconnect with this guy between how he markets himself and who is when giving a massage. Maybe every once in awhile he "likes" a client and becomes more invested and present, but from numerous accounts here, and my own experience, he often makes people feel bad about having hired him.

I've had four massages over the course of two years, and three were great. The one bad apple was over 20 years younger than myself, only massaged one half of me, and wouldn't give a reason but simply said to not contact them again. Are 20-somethings generally only interested in massaging those closer in body type to them?

Many Russian masseurs are hot/athletic, straight, and pretty smart dudes who like the money they can make this way. Being smart and strong allows them to become very good masseurs pretty quickly. Being hot is a great hook in the lucrative m4m market, especially if one is comfortable being naked, which most (not all!) of these guys are. Many will even allow the client to touch them but a big no-no is them touching a dude in certain areas, I guess this crosses their line. Some will even invite the client to "finish himself" in the end, which I find demeaning and offensive, but to them this is the definition of the "sensual" massage, as more would turn it into "erotic" I guess.
 
I actually don't want a HE from a dude who doesn't really want to do it or if it turns out I am not into him. That's why I never negotiate anything sensual upfront, I prefer to leave that to the chemistry and whatever happens - happens. But the massage itself is really important to me, and what typically frustrates me about these guys is their reluctance to deal with my glutes and hip flexors, which are really important to me. I guess they are too nervous about going there, because it might send a "wrong message" about what to expect later. Over time, I have learned to expect this and hence avoid Russians and Eastern Europeans who charge $100 an hour.
 
At $150-$160, which typically takes me to over $200 for 90 minutes, you get three kinds. One is very playful and sensual but lack in massage skills. The second are truly competent masseurs who actually like and appreciate the male body and are open to some play in the end. And the third are just frauds, which is one of the reasons this forum is so valuable!

Massage with him was good, not great. The ad and the message are not true of the person who you meet.

Perhaps you can give us a general sense of "Stay away" or "He's worthwhile"?

I tried Cam quite a few months months ago, before I knew about this forum. I was beguiled by his pictures and the openness and warmth of the personal statements that accompanied his ads. The actual experience was the opppsite: indifferent, distant, distracted, almost sad ... I left feeling sorry I bothered him and a bit embarrassed by the eagerness I had brought to the appointment. I discovered this site whilst looking for reviews of Cam, trying to figure out what I had missed.
 
For decades, I have had regular masseurs, often for many years, which have been rewarding on many levels. It's been several years since I've had a regular. Prices are high and aptitude seems scarce.
