took the leap and booked a session with Deo, I almost never see private masseurs so I was reluctant.
his space is very comfortable and relaxing. He made sure to ask me first what areas were bothering me and if I had any areas he should avoid/be more careful in (I’ve had surgery on my neck and find it worries some therapists when they see the large scar). 
the pressure was very great, I asked for deep pressure and he delivered, I like that he took time to focus on little things like my palms and heels- feel areas like this generally are not addressed. 
he even gave the option of if I wanted either scented or non scented oils which I thought was great.
very nice fit handsome guy overall, I felt comfortable with him. I look forward to working with him again as I didn’t a very long session and he suggested longer time so he can fully address all areas and gain a better sense of areas that need focus, such a caring professional 
if you’re just looking for extras and fun I don’t think Deo is the guy for you, go to energy or 27men for that. Deo delivers a professional thoughtful massage 
 

Just wanted to say to all that I took the leap in July to see Deo and have seen him a few more times since then. He’s incredibly nice and truly cares to take his time with you. If you’re looking for a strong great pressure massage, I recommend (he can obviously adjust pressure depending on your preference) even though booking guys direct off masseur finder etc can be a bit more pricey than the spas, I say with Deo it’s definitely worth it, especially since I have neck and back issues and he 100% knows what he’s doing.

Had some unplanned free time on Wednesday. Called Spa 27 before 11am and they were fully booked, so did a potluck drive by at Energy Spa. Hadn’t been in years. It’s cleaned up a bit from what I remember. Got Owen.. (different Owen than who used to be 28 Men Spa and others). Nice, quiet, somewhat twinkish Asian. Session was a tad confusing.. at first I thought he was a follow the text book beginner but after I asked for deeper, some skill did kick in and he deftly handled knots in my shoulders and calves. Then what I thought was the ending turned out to be a smiley 3/4. After the hot towel he continued on with my scalp, arms and feet. Quite nice. One complaint.. asked for 90 minutes. Got into the room at 11.15 and it was only 12.30 when I got out front to pay. Still paid the $100 session but reduced the tip accordingly. 

An updated gallery with new team members on it would be great !

I just wish energy could spend some money and give the place a face lift, could use some TLC. Although they have such reasonable rates may not be within their budget, I just hate the carpet 

I like 27 better than HK, even though they’re part of the same business. I’ve hustled had better experiences with the same masseur at 27 vs HK
Energy I would recommend you check out, they’ve got some great guys, primarily all Asian, whereas HK/27 has a much wider variety of guys 

Book ahead. Walk ins esp around 6pm after work you’re either going to just have to go with who’s available. I’ve walked in once or twice and there was nobody available, the other time they showed me one person who was available and i politely said , no worries I’ll come back 

That's why it's important for reliable COM members and contributors to post when they have a bad experience as well as a good experience. Newbies are sus until they build a reputation. 

I have walked-in before around that time, and it's usually an hour wait or the therapist that I liked was already booked...

I think there is a misunderstanding here. Expecting a tip is fine, asking for one is not fine. Imagine if your waiter in a restaurant or your hairdresser verbally asked you “How much will you tip?”
But this is especially a problem since asking for tip in exchange for extra services would get the place closed, and forbidden to do business, if the client is an undercover policeman. This has happened to Time Square Men Spa very recently, another spa which is only 10 blocks from HK men spa. And it will happen again.

Kudos! I joined this site over 2 years ago. I read backwards 2-3 months to get a picture about many of the masseurs at the Manhattan spas. I DM'ed people to learn more details. Only one masseur at 27 Men's Spa was unprofessional (he no longer works there, but not even because I filed a complaint as I just moved on to someone else). There was also someone at Grandee who almost injured me, and they waited to make sure I was OK at no charge and gave me a free massage when I recovered. I have noticed especially in the last 6 months how many people have posted 4 times in total and make a derogatory comment. They likely re-join a couple of months later under a different name and say something else. Why not stay with your same name for 2 years and show your comments consistently? We all know these kinds of customers will NEVER do that. I have been upsold, but I will argue that many times the amount suggested was what I would have tipped anyway for extras, sometimes even less than what was fair, and I gave the higher amount anyway. There are A LOT (how many exclamation marks should I add here) who blatantly want serious extras (from totally naked masseur to much more) and want to tip less than $80 for such full-service. If they don't get it, they make vague accusations about the masseur. For the claim Yura does not answer in-box messages, I don't even know how to do that, but all I can say VERY simply is that if you can't visit the site during the weekdays when he almost always is there, then call him between 11 AM to 6 PM. When I call to book a session that isn't late night or on the weekend, he almost always has been there and even the person who took the initial call.
