Traveling can be a headache, but I find it ultimately rewarding.

If you can figure out how to navigate it and stay sane the perks will outweigh the benefits.

I will say, though, that there are a few counterintuitive things that come with traveling. First off: summer isn’t the best time. Clients are usually traveling themselves, and there are lots of events and pride festivals happening. August is basically a wash. You can make summer work, but make damn sure there’s not any event happening where you plan to travel.

You don’t always need the best most expensive hotel. The doors need to be on the inside, but besides that, location within the city matters much more (and i kill myself over this more than anything).

Time of week matters a lot too. Another counterintuitive thing: weekends can work, and if they’re the only time you can travel (like in my case) you can make it work. But in many instances some combo of weekday and weekends work best for travel spans.

Also, drum up interest before hand. It can be a pain, but pick your travel cities and advertise them in advance, put them in your headline and your body text, and put them here. Having advanced appointments will save you some headache and give peace of mind that the trip is worth it. In many instances, traveling to a city more than once is better as people know you’ll get there fairly regularly.

And if you end up canceling the trip, you won’t be out much, or you can keep the trip and end up seeing something new (OR SLEEPING).

I heavily prefer being able to book a client in advance. In fact, I almost never do same-day appointments, and if I do, the appointment often ends up being on the opposite end of the day than the booking. This might mean I miss out on a fair amount of clients, but also I've found that at least in my area, the majority of clients that want to book "right now" or even like "within the next couple hours" tend to cum at some point before making real plans and then just go completely silent. Either that or the part of the process where you actually need to coordinate and make plans ends up turning them off and they go silent. I don't mean for any of this to come off as harsh towards clients... it just seems that a very, very high percentage of "right now" bookings are people who are never actually going to follow through anyways.

Also, believe it or not I actually do enjoy the work and I take pride it in; often I can't meet "right now" because I'm not going to come meet you in the same condition that I'd make a quick trip to the grocery store in. Even if I'm all done up and out and about already, I'm still going to want to go home, shower, spruce up and pamper a bit before going to meet a client. Of course I'm saying this when my look in my avatar on here is a fair amount underpar from what I would actually want to look like when meeting a client lol. But I think I made my point anyhow.

Also just another quick thought... I don't at all see hookup apps like grindr or scruff or anything as competition, and I don't use them for meeting clients because I know people on there aren't really looking for providers. But it does confuse me a bit that people would want to book "right now" when pretty much anyone can jump on those apps, regardless of how they look, how old they are, or how 'discreet' they need to be, and probably manage to find someone to hook up with "right now". At least to me, this is so much more than just a "right now" grindr-type thing, so if that's what you actually want, why bother with the bigger experience and book a provider, instead of just going the other route? I really mean no negativity or disrespect towards clients that like to book "right now", I just haven't been able to figure that one out.

My incredibly delicious RM regular has a full time corporate job that involves frequent travel, yet we are still able to meet up once a week thanks to advance bookings.

It’s not easy for us to be generally available 24/7 either as most of us do have other things we like to do outside escorting, or to deal with different communication styles and preferences of providers.

I do appreciate that you at least try to stay within the bounds of the escort as many guys don’t. But it seems that the overwhelming majority of us prefer appointments to be booked in advance. In fact, I’ve cancelled trips if I didn’t have enough advance appointments booked in advance, and the guys that like to book on a whim would text me and ask why.

All that said, I find it odd that anyone would object to an advance booking - it’s easy enough to schedule it and reconfirm closer.

Also make sure you book enough time.

It’s hard to have your first time AND feel comfortable in 60 minutes in most instances, from both perspectives, even if you think it may be.

Just make sure you have enough time.

If most of them were passed out drunk themselves it's not clear they could form the intent. This is one of those things where some of them are definitely guilty of something but pinning it on specific members is trickier.

Biomedical Engineering and just accepted to medical school. I know it sounds like bragging, and I suppose it is. My point was that these kids are not all party-focused, thick-headed, misogynistic, entitled pricks. Fraternities do a lot to cultivate excellence in the ones who embrace the system. There are those who make the whole system look bad, and that’s unfortunate

Having been in a fraternity and now the father of a son and daughter in Greek organizations, I can see both the good and the bad. I will say that my experience along with my children’s experiences have been extremely positive. My son has served as VP and is now the social chairman of his fraternity. We have on-campus, heavily regulated and controlled houses. However, no amount of control or supervision can stop kids from being kids. When I was active, we had plenty of beer and maybe some moonshine. Today, it’s hard liquor and drugs. I preach to my son weekly about limiting exposure and making sure he chooses good people to be monitors for their events. They limit the number of people on the grounds (even not allowing the team’s popular quarter back in) for the events and even have somebody designated to call Uber rides for ones they want to evacuate quickly from the property.

It’s also not at all like what you hear happens in these stories. It’s not Animal House every day. My son is a 4.0 student in the most difficult major on campus, he serves in elected office for the student body, and keeps a part-time job in addition to everything else. The boys who are with him are equally competent. Are there losers? Sure, but they are quickly weeded out if their actions don’t change.

Schools do take and are taking action. Florida State just suspended all Greek organizations indefinitely. My fraternity was kicked off campus for four years due to shenanigans. And Fraternities are shortening the pledgeship in order to limit exposure to hazing. What constitutes hazing has even changed quite a lot lately. It used to be indentured servitude, but now it’s study halls and some charity work parties.

All this is beside the point. I have lifetime bonds with men ( nonsexual, thank you) from my experience. My son’s life revolves around his brothers and I have seen him grow into a wonderful, caring, sensitive, others-focused man through the opportunities he’s been afforded in Greek life. I (and he) would do it over again without a second thought.

There's a whole lotta good that comes out of Greek organizations on campus. Don't throw the organization out because some soil the bath water.

She's right. It's better to keep it on campus and try to regulate it as best you can.
It's far from perfect...but the alternative is having the frat system totally out of the University's control.
That would be complete and utter chaos and many more young men would die every year than do today.

If they did somehow magically manage to banish all free association by the students (good luck)....
...the students would vote with their wallets and go to a school with fraternities instead of one without....sad but true.

    Now multiply that effect 100x when they're drunk and/or high....which of course they are...they're college students in a fraternity....it's a "no brainer".....literally!

From a legal perspective, it's very difficult to prohibit free association in this way, especially if the school allows students to live off camps. Let's say ten guys want to live together and call their house "Roger." Every year, as seniors leave, they interview new freshmen to take their places. What are you, as a university administrator, going to do about it?

From a practical perspective, it's usually a bad idea. At many schools, fraternity alumni are the big donors, both because they tend to be gregarious and successful and because these guys usually have warm feelings about their college experience. Banning them would mean that many future donors would go elsewhere and the ones that go anyway wouldn't feel the same bond to the school. Even small liberal arts colleges that tried to ban Greek orgs eventually relent.

If the goal is to discourage exclusion, those measures won't help. The most exclusive organizations are the least interested in advertising. They recruit through word of mouth, usually limited to alumni of certain high schools and certain athletic teams.

In any case, banning advertising on campus to won't make much of an impact in the age of social media. Neither will limiting access to directories that are available to all students, if that's possible at all.

Hazing is inevitable wherever groups of testosterone-charged young men gather. Everyone I know who has worked in the finance industry been hazed in some way. Hazing with alcohol makes it much more risky.

As for fraternities, the macho factor among that group has increased due to social media.

These situations are horrible, for everyone involved.

Unfortunately, it's been going on for as long as I can remember.

It's easy to blame the brothers....but there are so many other
factors involved. At the end of the day, they're just a bunch of
immature morons in their early 20's.

I wish I could take the moral highroad and say I was different,
but I wasn't....I was just a whole hell of a lot luckier.

I stopped listing travel plans for the reasons outlined above: it gets annoying responding again and again to messages from guys who think I'm already at the destination, even though it could be a week to weeks away. No sure whether the glitch is on Rentmen's end or whether clients are just not paying attention to the travel dates, but it's easier to advertise once I'm already there, in terms of not having to say "Thanks, but I'm not in town till..." over and over and over again.

Like everything else here, I don't think there is a 100% certain, foolproof answer. However, it may help you to ask them if they do the massage on a table or a bed. In my experience, masseurs who are serious about massage will strongly prefer working on a table. If a guy does it on a bed (especially for incalls), he's probably more about the sexual aspects of the meeting.
