While it seems like we may have similar thoughts about piercings, I would personally not feel like I'd have the right to ask him to change his appearance for me, so I wouldn't feel comfortable asking him to remove the piercing.  If it's that big of a deal for me, I should just see someone else.
That said, this dude's a hottie, so if anyone has any intel, I'm all ears.

Took a risk given most people’s experiences reported in this thread, but like LOLO I had a great time. We chatted for a bit about life and love after the massage and it felt very endearing. The massage was relaxing, nothing too special in a technical sense, but still very sensual, swedish with hot rocks, and calming. There was an upsell which I almost agreed to cause it was very erotic when I was on my back, but I declined and he still kept it the session very sexy. I was impressed because usually that ruins things for me, but I left happy. I think if you are sweet to him he will be sweet to you, but of course YMMV.
