Rentmasseur is definitely more informative than m4m and MF but their controls suck, I don't understand why they allow masseurs to claim that they are visiting multiple locations at the same time. This results in way too many suspicious ads IMHO.

Sweet dude, insanely hot, very good massage, but his English is very limited. My sense is that I exchanged texts with someone who does this (I mean, communicate to set up appointments) for multiple masseurs and rents a midtown place for them to do massages, so it was a bit of a surprise to find out that we could barely understand each other, but I would definitely repeat.

I totally understand this evolution of things, and I so don't enjoy massages where extras are part of the deal upfront, that makes it too escorty for my taste. However, it is unfortunate that you seem to be forgoing something you like to do in some of the cases. I mean, could you still do it and then simply make it clear in the end by saying: "hey, this is not what I normally do, I just like and feel comfortable with you, but please don't talk about it or recommend me to others based on it? It is very awkward and unpleasant when a new client comes in expecting it." There is nothing wrong with two adults enjoying some intimacy if they both like and agree to it and there is absolutely nothing illegal about it if no sexual favors are exchanged for money. PS I fucking hate the current environment that is making people restrain their most intimate behavior for fear of being persecuted while, for example, none of those motherfucking embezzlers that caused the housing crash ended in jail. I am so done with rentmasseur too, I deleted my profile there when they stopped letting you view private images even if the masseur granted you permission. :-( The only explanation I have for these ads is that one dude who speaks English communicates and schedules for a whole bunch of guys living or present at all these locations. That's why they offer 4-handed massages too, there is a whole squad and you never know who will show up, although they all may think they kind of look like the guy in the picture. Way too shady for my taste.

Indeed. And he does seem to change his mind the last minute, I thought we'd overlap in Indy this week (it was on his schedule) and now I see he went to Milwaukee instead. Which suggests that you are filling out a marketing survey when you contact these heavy travelers more than a day in advance. They may or may not show up depending on how many others from competing locations contacted them as well. That's why I don't bother, the earliest I'll get in touch is the night before the scheduled arrival. This shit is becoming way too difficult for the kind of money I am willing to spend to get a good massage. I mean, all these fake ads, flaky travelers, changes on MF, etc.

Similar experience with vague answers like "downtown" instead of telling me the fucking hotel so I can figure out how long it would take me to get there. The worst part was that he tried to push a 4-handed massage with his partner and became unpleasant when I declined. Then I aborted the attempt to schedule a massage, which he didn't like but, oh well... I am officially done with masseurs traveling in pairs, never a good experience for me.

I like to look for hidden gems in Chicago and elsewhere. But that's risky business given how few gems there are, which makes this site so valuable. This is a really good gig for a lot of guys, especially in other parts of the world. I wouldn't be surprised if a guy pulls his brother or cousin who looks very similar. I had an awful experience with a "masseur" in New Orleans. It turns out his brother is a very successful and--from what I could see from the reviews--pretty good masseur in DC. The guys look very similar and could get away with using the same pix.

I think this is the most likely explanation of the different experiences here: You guys saw different guys! I've had a recent experience in NYC where I texted with one person whose English was perfect but then the masseur turned out to be a completely different story. We could barely understand each other, but he was the guy shown in the picture (really hot, btw), excellent masseur, and it ended up being a nice experience. "His location" was a midtown apartment that's obviously used by multiple guys and he actually lives in Brooklyn. I'd see him again, if I could be sure that he would be the one to show up. And I'd do an outcall, it was suboptimal to be at that nondescript drab place. On another occasion, I wanted an outcall to my hotel. The texting was smooth, but the guy who showed up wasn't the one from the ad and his English was again really bad. I said no thanks and sent him on his way without paying anything. He didn't protest, he wanted to call "his boss" but I declined any further business. It seems to be a new "business model," and it's a hit or miss from the client's perspective. Caution advised in any case.
