My baseline is that I can get excellent therapeutic massage at a chiropractor's office next door for $80 an hour. My thing is that I like to feel comfortable and not worry about getting one of my very frequent erections AND I absolutely need to have my glutes taken care of because I run and do weights, so you can imagine how these two needs are correlated. The best way to keep me relaxed and comfortable is if the masseur is willing to be naked with me as well, to level the playing field so to speak. I'll pay $120 for a competent masseur willing to do all that and $140 if he is really hot. I go for 90 minute sessions, so this usually ends up being in the $150-$200 range. I am not into sexual escorty stuff anyway but if the guy is hot and there is chemistry some mutual touching and teasing is a super nice way to complete the session, and here I am willing to go up to $160 but prefer to keep it at $140-$150 (so $200-$220 for 90 minutes). I don't know why people immediately jump to comparisons with escorts, to me, this is more like a Montreal stripper experience element, you see a hot guy and you get to touch him a little, that's all, no oral or anal sex. Now, the problem arises with guys who see this gig as an easy way to make money, especially if they are straight, which often makes them act as if they were doing you some kind of favor. A guy with (1) no or low massage skills and (2) unwilling to get naked is a total ripoff at any price level no matter how hot he is. A hot guy with one of the two issues is a rip off at any price above $100, but I wouldn't hire him even if he charged less than $100 because of my basic option listed above. So be ready for the most likely outcome of a "meh" experience when you hire a new masseur, sad but true. To the point that I am likely to stop responding to PM requests for information by people who never contribute in the public forum and/or never gave me any useful information in private. I call it the Eastern European hang-up, straight guys from over there who like the money they can make in "sensual" m4m massages but have a big taboo against touching anywhere near your glutes and/or especially "there" even accidentally. But they don't mind getting naked and even being touched "respectfully." For some reason, their American counterparts often prefer the opposite, will provide or at least try a very mechanical HE but their big taboo is getting naked with you (American hang-up in my dictionary) and especially being touched, pretty much anywhere. As someone who doesn't necessarily seek "sensuality" (if something happens because the chemistry is right, fine, but let's not force anything otherwise) but really wants a GOOD massage, the biggest turnoff is the tension. Avoid. Massage should be fun and relaxation.

I no longer schedule anything with guys offering 4-handed massages. I like individual 1-on-1 experiences and I know that they are likely to ditch me if another client who wants a 4-handed massage shows up. Am I the only guy who feels like the hotter the two guys, the more you feel like a third wheel? So much so that I tend to cancel the massage if the guy tries to push his partner on me. The anal/controlling personality and charm of a nosy southern landlady who also happens to think she is "all that." The massage was technically ok but the vibe was weird from the start, that is, the formal and faux-friendly chat upfront that felt more like an interview. While $250 is certainly pushing it, at least IMHO, I actually like the idea of specializing in the high end segment of the market. I'd much rather see a masseur who does 90 minute appointments only than one that does strictly 60 minutes. It's a more thorough massage and a more relaxed experience for the client, and it can be a very good business strategy for the masseur as there are fewer setups to coordinate and the clientele is likely to be higher paying. This is NOT for a newbie who "doesn't know what to do" (I've often heard that, a big red flag!) with the client for 90 minutes. Well, a masseur that knows how to and does the head, feet, hands, chest/front, it actually makes sense! Having said that, I am comfortable going up to $240 for a truly great 90-minute experience, so it better be extraordinary if the rate is higher. I might see Jay next time in NY, while the rate is high, he seems like an educated, sexy, mature dude, just my type ;-)!
