Weird too 😟 He is fine with MT and being naked but he wants to charge for a HE depending on how hot the client is. He asked for a picture and when I pushed back (not that I ever had any problems with "qualifying" for good service 😁, but this is a matter of principle) he said that some clients are so disgusting that he needs to be compensated for providing it. WTF? If you hate what you do so much, why do it? Yeah, money is good, I know, but nothing good can come out of a business in which you feel about your clients in this way. An easy pass for me. PS This is based on a recent text that I sent when I was curious whether anything changed since my initial post. I will be permanently discarding this prospect from now on, I am so done here 😉

Was just quoted $300 for 60 minutes and $450 for 90. Yeah, he is hot and could be a great masseur, but this is escort territory. Next! PS If he can get enough clients, power to him, it's just not my cup of tea.

If you are not logged in you can see his profile. His email is turned off anyway so you are not really losing anything, he is just dumb to do this.

I am sad to see that he is pushing it with the rates, and it seems that things usually get worse if a masseur pairs up with another one to offer 4-hands. They prefer to work together and may even travel with just one table. You never know whether they'll drop you if someone wanting 4 hands comes along in the meantime. In Tampa now, I think I'll skip.

Bump, let's keep this thread alive.

Charges a lot, requires a deposit, and no MT?! Automatic pass. Any mention of STDs is a total mood killer, lame as and excuse, reckless to take clients if true.

Based on the figures I am seeing here, we need to go more levels up, as in priceEEE!

We exchanged texts when he was in central FL. Turns out $150 is his base rate and he wanted $250 for nude with mutual touch, so I decided to pass.

Bump, any updates?

He just added more pix, he somehow seems familiar, could it be a name change?

Too good to be true? There is a review on MF from 2021, so he's been around, but how come I can't find any info on him here despite the hotness and reasonable rate? 😉 https://www.masseurfinder.com/massage-therapists/50775/

Masseurs and all others are of course free to do whatever they want with their faces and bodies, but it is also legitimate for one to say that they find surgical and chemical interventions a turnoff. I am in that camp too, and I've given up on booking with guys who are too covered with tattoos as well. And yeah, I do think that there are psychological issues involved. Or lack of thorough thinking through. Yeah, there could be a short term market benefit, but I do believe that most will regret it in the long run. Of course, it's their choice, just like I am choosing to be vocal about my tastes and opinions. 😉 PS Luca is insanely hot, but once I detect vanity and "trying to hard," it IS a turnoff for me. Or could it be insecurity?

Anyone noticing a drop in massage rates?
Capitano replied to SamMiller213's topic in Spas & Masseurs
I've started "polite market feedback" recently and here is the latest update on what I see around central Florida (Tampa, Orlando, etc.). Many masseurs, especially visitors, are quoting some sort of "base rate" of $200 and want $250 for both nude and mutual touch with HE. When I respond that I prefer to keep it under $200 and will go back to one of my local favorites instead, they quickly backtrack and say that $200 is ok. Unfortunately, it's too late at that point. I don't want to get a massage from someone who is not happy with their compensation. Massage is a very personal and somewhat luxurious experience, so it is essential for both sides to be happy to be there under the terms that are agreed upon. Making it bazaar-like cheapens it and introduces a very wrong vibe that kills the experience IMHO. I'll report if I observe any adjustments in quoting behavior, some may realize that getting more clients at $200 makes more business sense than fishing for the ones willing to shell out $250 or more. Some have even quoted $300 or $350. Hence my "polite market feedback" policy, I see it as community service 🙂 -
So, how sensual does it get, is he fine being nude and touched during the massage? HE? Smoking hot, on my short list for next time I am in NYC. But I need to verify 😉
-
Bump. He seems like a 10+++ on my personal 1-10 scale, but that raises the dreaded "too good to be true" concern 😉
-
I was tempted but decided nah. Yeah, he is hot and I am sure does a good job, but I can get spa quality massage for $120, and several locals do sensual for $150-$180. Yeah, I'll tip generously, but he is pushing his rate into escort territory here. I don't like the feeling of being extracted the last $ that I am willing to pay. At that point, I become indifferent between getting and not getting a massage.
-
Of course there is variation, and if someone is great, they'll likely have great reviews here. Those who don't are a very risky bet IMHO, and here is the dynamic. If a masseur delivers great VALUE, that is, the difference between what he delivers and what he charges, he should be able to grow a local clientele of repeat clients in any sufficiently big market. This includes guys who cover a limited geographic area, say you are based in Cincinnati and regularly visit Indy, Louisville, and Columbus. It makes sense to see them because you know that you'll get another chance soon, and that this is precisely what they want. A hot guy charging a lot and traveling country-wide is likely skimming the market, that is, not leaving enough value on the table for the client to come back. He relies on clients thinking with their small heads or simply wanting to check him out up close and personal. The experience will typically be "been there, done that" once they realize he is not worth a repeat, so he has to keep moving because he runs out of business even in the huge market of NYC, Miami, or LA. It only gets worse with masseurs who think of themselves as models and keep hoping that that career will take off. Many of them deep down hate what they (have to) do to maintain a certain lifestyle.

Oh, man, this one is STILL in business too. The usual ambiguity as to where he lives and travel dates & destinations included, and the pix are over 10 years old. https://www.masseurfinder.com/massage-therapists/38430/ JohnCA - Male Massage & Bodywork in Los Angeles, CA | RentMasseur RENTMASSEUR.COM Gay Masseur JohnCA in Los Angeles, CA offering a wide range of massages ⭐ experienced in therapeutic, sensual, swedish, hotStone, deepTissue. -
A smart, holistic way to manage a business! So, how much they bring in total and how easy or difficult they are. Nobody shortchanged, but VIPs get priority and extra intangibles. 👍💪👏🙌🙏

Central question: would you prefer a client that sees you twice a month and tips you 20% every time or a client that doesn't tip but sees you every 10 days? Demand for some items is elastic (econ term), that is, sensitive to the price, and I suspect that this is the case for massage services and most clients. Yeah, there are some who get all the massages they want and tip generously anyway because their budgets allow them to, but they are most likely a small minority.
