In the financial industry, we see customers fall prey to this type of scam all the time. It usually happens when an email has been hacked and the hacker is rerouting traffic through its site to get the victims' personal information.
 
Look at the email address for the response to see if it was from xxx@rentmen.com. Many times the spammer's email will show in your in box as the name of the valid business; however, when you look at the actual email address it will be something like, "rentmen-admin@imstealingyouridentity.com."

It is the "rich white guy" that is more at risk for blackmail and worse than those not so comfortable.
 
There is no logical reason for rentmen to have a copy of a customer's identification. Not even airlines ask for that and they collect thousands of dollars from customers via credit card to transport them around the world.

The first thing that came to mind was the thread on this site a while back, where a very average-looking, out of shape, older escort was being roasted and humiliated with absolutely no restraint.
 
Guess who suddenly became the mean girls? Not other providers, but the customers... the same potential clients that cry “ageism, body shaming, and discrimination”, when the tables are turned.
 
I even remember the Kenzo thread, where this masseur gained a few pounds and these guys suddenly became “model scouts”, and picked the poor guy apart...

Perhaps the best response would be: "Which stats would you like to know?" Then you can decide whether you want to provide them.

It means they are trying to treat you as if you're the one being hired. Don't bother. A true professional would never ask that kind of a question.

This may be a nit, but I'd prefer that the guy posting on twitter supplied the post/a link to what the guy actually said/wrote. Instead, he has a screen shot of a post by someone else saying the guy called him the n-word, etc. With a proper link/sourcing, we could see not only the specific post(s) complained about, but also the broader set of posts that might shed light on the escort in question.

what he does not get is any sympathy from me....in his interview answers, he’s been traveling the world.....spending on average at least 250 nites per year in hotels.....& from some of the pics appears to enjoy some semi-pricey hobbies.....apparently he might not ever have saved much for the proverbial rainy days.....& before his unemployment benefits from being laid off would have ended, his last, errrrr first resort is to request, errrr beg for charitable donations.....this able-bodied dude should go out & get a job.....just my 2 cents worth....which i’m keeping away from him.

so many more stories. those men were so curious. the best ones, for me, were the ads that didnt have pics but "curious muscle guy" or "hot straight jock" in the titles (or something like that). once the emails started and pics were sent...omg! i only had one time that a guy sent a pic of a hot guido muscle guy to me that wasnt really him.
