I have had personal experience with him, although it has been likely over 10 years - I'm pretty sure we originally connected through Craigslist. Anyway... Sweet guy... Quiet... Passive. Would not recommend, but we are going off of 10+ years knowledge and experience here so please take that with a grain of salt. I know it says straight, but at least back then I am gonna say he was solidly bisexual. I've tried to connect with him over the years - we're actually friends on FB and Instagram, but I have yet to get a response from him... So... I don't know what to tell you... Any way... It's not a really helpful chime in, but a chime in nonetheless...

Thanks for the feedback. I do have a life, I am relaxed, I am not fretting, and I am staying home and staying safe. My point in my post was not about Forum Members having different tastes in men, as you alluded to. It was about mocking a masseur's appearance in insulting and degrading ways to get a laugh. I get that these comments are made as a joke. I just think we can get laughs in other ways without insulting each other's appearance, oftentimes in mean spirited ways. That's all I am going to say. I have to go live my life now, watch some hot porn as I "shelter in place," and enjoy my day. Hope you are home and staying safe also. We are all in this crisis together. Peace

Hey guys, I know it is all in good fun, and good for a laugh. But making fun or ridiculing a masseur's appearance, whatever it is .....body type, fat/skinny, unattractive, ugly, etc. is not cool. I know mocking comments are made as a joke....but let's not have our laughs at their expense. I have seen this alot in posts, and find it sad. As gay men most of us were mocked growing up, so we know what it's like. Let's not bring that into the Forum. Aaron is a good looking guy, and looks like a sweet kid. Would hate for him to see this post body shaming him for how skinny he is. It would be great if we could stop trying to get laughs by insulting a masseur's appearance.

Just finished with Alex. It was great. Really good massage. Better than I expected. HE was standard. Parking was a pain 'cause it was downtown LA but if he's your type then go for it. He looks exactly like his pictures!

I am flabbergasted by the (alleged) willingness to pay $200/250--in LA!--for a therapeutic massage from a fully clothed, straight-identifying (and, by some accounts on this thread, homphobic) masseur. There is a better, (much) cheaper massage to be found in any number of places. Something is off here

    What an interesting thread!

The focus of my sexuality has moved through pick-ups and relationships for the first years of my out life to the highly erotic club scene and "circuit" to strip clubs and now to m4m massage (porn has always had some role in my sex life). I haven't really moved on to escorts yet, but I hope to explore that experience someday. Each stage has been deeply rewarding but also complicated. I'm pretty Freudian about this: after the liquid perfection of life in the womb, humans are on a search for a return to that complete, safe, satisfying experience of merging with another person. It's not fully achievable, of course (my mother wouldn't have it! (plus I've grown a bit)), but all those different phases gave me intense moments of connection with another man and of blissful release from the "vale of sorrows" of ours.

All of these phases had their expenses--love DEFINITELY ain't free--so I have to use the same economic calculations about massage that I used in my other sexual pursuits. And even the emotional dimensions: it's easy to say that transactional sexual encounters like with strippers, escorts, or erotic masseurs aren't "real," but tricks and even boyfriends/husbands aren't simple emotionally either. We should all attend to our purses and our hearts.

The bottom line for me is that life is not easy; there is no solution to horniness or loneliness; rich emotional and sexual experiences are to be found in all kinds of places and all kinds of conditions. Right now for me "massage is life."

I can go 2-3 weeks before I want a massage; at that point, I feel I want to be touched, and just whacking off to porn just won't do the trick; and sometimes I have this internal debate--do I want a massage or do I want an escort? oftentimes, I'll prefer the massage with MT and HE.

Tony Napoli reacted to BeefyDude in Why are many massage request clientele unwilling to commit?
I have heard this OVER and OVER again from masseurs visiting Atlanta that clients are very flakey. Not sure why this is.

Some of the factors I take into consideration:

    1) Price: I look at ads that say they offer this/do that - but that is when they are at their home studio. When they travel obviously they can't offer all that, but yet charge the same price. Perfect example is a bed. I very much prefer a table, but a bed is OK. But don't uncharge the customer to be done on a bed. There is no cost to pass on (ie traveling with it). For me anything over $140 I will seriously question.

    2) Location: I'm specifically talking about my area Atlanta. I almost will not go downtown. 1) difficult and $$ to park 2) transit system is difficult and time consuming (I only do weekend massages that is when train schedule is slow plus Atl transit is crowded dirty and just gross). So if I call someone and they say downtown, I usually will not take it further. Know your market and where your clients are. I have asked many why they pick downtown - and the response is typically "because its easier or convenient for me". It should be more about clients than you - sorry if that hurts.

    3) "Interview": Personally I like to talk to someone on the phone and ask some questions to make sure it is a good match. There are many ads that say text only or no phone calls. I will generally avoid those. If I call someone and leave VM and then immediately get a text and no phone call, another red flag for me. I seek mostly theraputic (I said mostly not entirely). So when I ask someone what style of massage they do and the first thing they say is erotic, then bye.

    4) Reviews: If available I read them. I seriously wonder if many are fake. But I do read them. on RM if all the reviews say erotic or sensual I may steer clear

I have had my share of masseurs. Many are good. But the bad ones are HORRIBLE and perhaps that is why people are shy or reserved about it. I would say be honest when talking to potential clients. Its bad when you get there and have a totally opposite experience based on what was discussed. Most look like their ad pics, but some weren't even close.

Sure masseurs have been burnt before but so have clients. I have many where I paid for an hour and barely got 30 mins.

Two very recent experiences of why I talked to someone but didn't follow through:

    1) masseur advertised one price but on the phone quoted me $50 more stating that he can ONLY do outcalls and that is his outcall rate. So he was forcing the client to spend more and have someone come to him. If he offered both in and out and I chose in - that is on me. But to advertise both but say out only No way. Plus $50 to travel few miles tops was ridiculous.
    2) was ready to book, but the masseur changed hotel without telling me. It was further away and not easy for me to get to

Ok enough said. Just trying to answer the poster's question from a client perspective and view.

    I’m “one and done”.

If you can’t take the time to even reply to a simple text,
why should I bother? If the massage ever does take place,
it always sucks. Unprofessional behavior is never limited
    to just texting skills.

Even a brief “I’m unavailable” is enough for me to try again
another time. Radio silence?...gets radio silence in return.

The experience was interesting, not negative by any means, but Interesting.

He wasn't able to host last minute so he ended up hosting in a near by motel. It was clean and satisfactory.

He was a handsome guy and had a nice build, but I did not see a resemblance to the pics posted on the site nor was he in as solid or muscular a shape.

He had an intuitive technique and found some knots and trouble spots. Heavy focus on lower back, glutes, and thighs. Upper back and lower legs did receive attention as well.

Front was enjoyable, and interactive. I anticipate this is a "mileage may vary" situation.

We spoke on and off throughout. He's very bright, pleasant, and sweet. He's working his way through school and this is a flexible gig for him and he enjoys what he does.

I enjoyed myself overall, but do not think I would repeat as I am still greatly satisfied with my continued experiences with Sean in Torrance.

Got a few DMs. Hope this covers the bases. Thanks guys!
