  1. Sad news. May he rest in peace.
  2. I would think so. What goes in, has to come out. Dennis Hastert's withdrawals got the attention of the Fed's
  3. +1 on Costco. Last 3 pairs of glasses I got from there. Wouldn't call it an upsell by any stretch, but he suggested I have some sort of picture taken of the eyes ($35 on top of the $50 exam). When he looked at it, he said I have beginning stages of cataracts, but it's not time to do anything yet. Then he said I had hypertension (just by looking at the picture), and asked if was I seeing a doctor about it. Yes I am. Their prices are good if you don't go hog wild in your selections. I got rid of the employer sponsored vision plan for retirees as their low limit on what they would pay, plus monthly premium, came out close to even just paying cash at Costco. Only downside, is their frame selection is very limited, but for a fee, they may be able to re-lens existing frames. I also hear they are the best deal in town for hearing aids.
  4. And many more. Thanks for sharing your life. Enjoy
  5. Those of you that have it, enjoy the wave. I agree with those that say it's luck, and its also other circumstances you cannot control. A co-worker paid for her nice, not extravagant, small wedding with the profits from selling her beanie-babies during the height of it's craze. Early in my career (early 80s), there was a proposed merger of my company where purchase for our stock was reported to be 10x's the price per share at the time of the announcement. Share prices skyrocketed. Several co-workers had been in the employee stock purchase plan since they hired on 30-40 years before, and made a killing selling it beforehand for a price somewhat less than the proposed price. One held out for the proposed price, but the merger never happened. That person didn't lose money, but I think regretted losing the opportunity. Having witnessed family and friends lose all equity in their homes in Detroit years ago, and sell for a fraction of what was paid 20 years before, real estate is never a sure thing.
  6. No, no suggestions. I'm not in to any of that as I'm basically risk adverse, unless you count my penchant for spending extra money at the casino. The winnings for a while funded my hiring.
  7. My local paper said it hit 17K.
  8. Like @poolboy48220, would listen to them in the car on long road trips. It was better than having to find a new radio station every so often. Now, I have XM. Don't really do long trips anymore, so haven't listened to an audio book in years.

As he says in his ad, it may take a while to respond. That was my case. But, worth the wait. I only met him for the first time back in May.
  10. Think about all the new possibilities driverless cabs will provide. The downside is how messy that back seat will be for the next rider.
  11. Yep, you are a fur piece away from ORD. I was thinking in terms of Edgebrook, Wildwood, Forest Glen, Lincolnwood, Niles, Skokie. All closer (at least time wise, if not distance) to ORD than River North, or the Loop where it seems many of the visiting escorts stay.
  12. Tristan Baldwin, when he visits, stays out by ORD. Traveling into the city is time consuming, and expensive, if you can find a place to park. Welcome to the forums.
  13. First car I ever drove had 3 on the tree. Later drove a 4 speed on the floor. Had a couple of automatics for a while, but bought a 5 speed on the floor when my budget was limited. Manual transmissions are fun if not a lot of traffic, but in stop and go traffic, not so much. My current car has automatic with an option to shift manually, but it's not the same, so never use it. There's no substitute for feeling the power come on in your foot as you let out the clutch.
  14. Thanks @EastbayMike . I didn't catch the c vs. k difference.
  15. Curious about this guy. Anybody met him? https://www.masseurfinder.com/members/garic.shtml https://rentmasseur.com/Garik http://rentboy.pro/boys/HotGarik Thanks
  16. Haven't met, but Kit (new to Sean Cody) advertised as JockCalvin RM for a while, and is on PlanetJockBoys site as Calvin.
  17. He may have been right. Henry's first 2 businesses went bankrupt before the present day Ford Motor Company.
  18. I wasn't one to spend time in discos, so don't know if these qualify, but were Rock the Boat, or Kung Fu Fighting mentioned? One of my favorites from the 70's, but I don't think its really disco at all, is Everybody Plays the Fool.
  19. Coulda, shoulda, woulda. Another lost opportunity in my life.
  20. He also has an ad on RM. https://rent.men/Fit_wet (I've never met him) Edit. My bad, apologies for saying he also escorts in my initial post. His RM add only indicates massage, not escort services.
  21. That sheds light on why my appointment with a guy I used to see, who advertised therapeutic only, delayed our appointment 3 times because the client before me was late. When we finally met, I showered after the massage, and blew my nose after the shower. Went to put the tissue in the covered trash can in the bathroom, and when I opened the top, there was condom and wrapper laying on top.
  22. While in a LTR relationship with a woman, I got to know the guy who owned the local auto body repair shop very well. Not expensive enough to claim on insurance, but bad enough to be fixed. He jokingly suggested setting aside money each month for the inevitable repairs.
  23. I've seen a few reviews on RM by someone called rexb (don't remember what if any letter was capitalized). I assumed he was the same. Perhaps if you have an account, message him there.
