It's fairly simple to check up on any service provider these days, by googling their name and following threads for all their various identities. I don't hire anyone or order anything without checking reviews first. This one seems to have been a red flag for some time. That said....you can't be sure someone scammed you 24 hours later. People aren't always good about answering every message.

Protocol on airlines is beyond illogical. They want you vaccinated and wearing a mask....and then all bets are off when they serve you snacks. Nothing remarkable about it to me. American culture is riddled with guilt over sexuality. Obviously "Europe" is a very general term for many different cultures...but in many places, especially the larger cities in the more progressive countries in Europe, they are indeed more accepting of people's sexual life and don't necessarily push the guilt button on one's choices when you don't go down the "get married and have kids" avenue.
