Guys, it doesn't matter what we think forgetting, forgiving, or holding a grudge means. What matters is what it means to the people involved in the situation. Talking it out is the only way to get on the same page. Don't split hairs over definitions - too academic. Work it out thru action instead.

From your post, I hear you are still stinging. It is ok to feel pain and be disappointed and even be mad. Allow yourself to work thru these feelings bc if any of those FB friends come back to make amends, you'll need to be in the right space to allow them your forgiveness. Hearing what you are saying here, I have a funny feeling it is going to take you longer than the average bear to be in that space. Don't worry, you are not working on any deadline. The real friends will hang in there to enjoy your forgiveness when you can. PS- do they (FB friends) know they messed up?

i try to forgive & forget, but I don't expect others to forgive me or forget what I've done to them. It is actually kinda liberating for me to live my life that way bc I don't have to hold myself accountable for the actions of others - only for my own. If I offend someone I care for (I have to care for them), and I want them to forgive me, I put myself to work to eventually gaining their forgiveness; however, I don't ever expect them to forget it nor be grudge-free. That's their baggage to work thru. I do try my very best to not hold a grudge- that's debilitating. I'm working on that. Ask me again in a century or so.

I prefer Punta Cana when in DR; however, I do like spending 1 or 2 nights in Sto. Domingo to get my gay fix in Zona Colonial. I put up with average hotels for this purpose . Are you looking for luxe LGBT friendly accommodations? That's hard is St D. A gay-friendly hotel is duque de Wellington. Escorts tend to hang out in the lobby. A slightly nicer option is the Mercure, part of the French chain. Neither are top notch, but if boys & ease of access is what you want, you will have a better chance there. you may want to call ahead for policies on receiving guests, these tend to change depending on events happening in the city or changes in hotel management/staff. How do we define young or old? Isn't that relative or did I miss the policy guidelines? How big are projection screens at clubs?
