A lot of IG "models" request $1-2k a f**k nowadays but this is essentially a wide bell-curve and few commit to one set spot/price on it, ergo many can end up being in the 500-1k range.

Just saw him. Only meeting via personal connections and social media now. He's been between northeast, Florida, and Europe. Taking his health (he’s very open about his Cali sobriety now and it’s great to see providers grow in positive ways and still enjoy this side work) and his higher education/ day work very seriously now. He looked incredible though, probably 10+ lbs of muscle and I had a better more engaging time than ever before. Rates adjusted accordingly but was good to reconnect and look forward to seeing him again in spring!

You can see on his IG that he's seasoned in the East Coast "network" of IG boys for discreet hire and notable, busy, gentlemen who connoisseur them. That's why he was expecting/asking $1k+... for anyone familiar that grade/class/style/type of guy seeks most of his work through social media DM, probably started their career being brought in by friends as "party favors" with "VIP" gentlemen either at private parties or the obvious circuit parties run by "promoters," where the standard is the boys leave with envelopes or Venmos of a few grand and connections with new hot guys to hookup with, earn with, and the daddies and gents who scheduled dates, followed on social media, etc. This is where things can get touchy.. the guys who are DL bi, "gay for pay", ambiguous, etc. often can continue to command multigrand prices if they are good at the game. The gay ones, being naturally more fluid and comfortable with the environment to party and play (and not infrequently, maybe, addendum erotic interest in cleancut successful gentlemen in a range of age and range of nerdiness to glamorousness), often end up maneuvering a range from multi hundreds ($500+, enough to be ~above~ an average escort via RM or porn, but selectively as coveted) to a few thousand when and where they can maintain the interest. Things like follower count/popularity/known exclusivity/ who you've shot with or modeled for/ if you're actually signed with an agency/ and where you're based etc. are all factors in effect for what you may negotiate or pay with these kinds of guys. This provider is Ivy educated it seems? Absolutely contributes to his expectations. There are very discreet "agents" or networkers who seek this out as well to groom the type of guy for professional or exclusive dates with all manner of successful and discreet guy some of whom may be on this forum but I deduce most are not. Like someone mentioned, they met this provider for less than $1000, didn't surprise me, but I'd bet it wasn't the $300 escort "standard". Similarly know a kept boy of a certain gay Hollywood bigshot still meeting interested parties for $500 dates despite presenting as the $1k+ type standard. The Brazilian babe surcharge NY-FL mentioned here on other threads is often because of this too. They're balancing interest via social media and, discreet or not, ads on RM. This provider didn't get on RM delusionally expecting $1k, he was already groomed that way. I'm guessing the recent change in profile is because he's tired of the seedier enquiries via RM from guys maxing out at $400. Likely, one could reach him via IG DM for business but expect that $1k price tag in place or at least his starting point. It's not arrogance per se, mind you -it becomes something of a competition and discreet status game to be commanding the highest and most exotic offers, to be sought after for these parties... and subseqently presenting the most fabulous life online. None wants to be the one caught lowering their business to "whore" levels, and that often becomes an inside joke only for and among themselves. Major extra caveat here is how this all works out when factoring international marketplace prices etc. but that's for a different tangent.
