Where do I start?

I typically don't dwell on regrets, although there are two things that I would probably have done differently if I had a chance to:
 
1) Traveled more when I was younger - This is a very millenial thing to say but honestly, whenever I watch YouTube videos of 23-year-olds going on backpacking trips across Europe (and road trips in the US), I get very jealous. I'm making up for it nowadays with at least one major, out-of-the-country trip each year, barring a major expense (or losing a job, which happened to me last year), but I still wish I acted on my wanderlust earlier.
 
2) Left my former employer before I settled - "How much did they pay you to give up on your dreams?" Was the question that kept replaying in my head when I was fired from the banal job I had for 5 years. Although I was ecstatic that I was gone (my former coworkers were even saying that I was probably the happiest guy who has ever lost a job), I wished that I had left earlier and pursued a better-paying, higher-profile, and more creatively stimulating company. I would have paid for the chance to gloat at my former boss.
 
The reason I stayed for so long is because of regret #1...I had just developed a "taste" for traveling. I wanted to be sure that even if I take almost month-long trips, that there is still a job that I can go back to.
