I reached out to this gent a couple of years ago, and while I remember he was polite, and professional in our correspondence, we never met up. In truth, I cannot recall what the problem was. I had thought he left this life behind, as I don’t remember coming across his profile in subsequent RM searches. Seeing him back now, I am sorely tempted - just look at that body! - but I notice his “Into” selections have slimmed down from what I think I remember. As such, I’m not sure he’d be up for the company of bearish fellow such as myself. BBD

That’s what I always thought - expired ads show when you click the link if you’re not logged in, but logged in, they don’t. Thank you, Rex - I thought it was me, that everyone else was seeing a non-expired ad. BBD

Well, when I logged in on RM on the laptop, and searched by name, nothing came up. When I searched by his stats, same results. So am I the only one who saw/sees his profile as being expired when clicking the link (and not logged in)? BBD

First off, you gents have exceptional tastes! This thread is both sensory overload, and well timed as I found out this week that of my 3 local regulars, one has retired, one has relocated out of state, and the other’s v-mail is full. Le sigh. This lad would be perfect if he were in NYC, and topped. Not my usual type at all, but there is *something* about him that gets my juices flowing. Buddy listing him for any future West Coast trips. I don’t think I’ve ever hired a gent who identifies as straight, but for him I think I could make an exception. But would the exception be worth the trip to Indianapolis is the question. I never thought of the malware angle, I just assume it’s a scam with the end game being money. I’m on a few gay male social media sites/groups as well, and it is astonishing how many men do fall for them, and do send money. These scammers do seem to target older, single men. I feel bad for the ones being scammed, but at the same time this is not something new either. I suppose there are just a lot of lonely fellows out there who are just happy with the attention, not thinking where this can/will lead. BBD

I’ve the opposite problem - my surname is extremely uncommon. In fact, everyone with the surname in the USA, I’m related to within 2 degrees of cousinship. There’s even less now in Europe - and that handful are all 4th or 5th cousins. Having said this, most gents if they make mention of it, just ask where it originates - then proceed to mispronounce it ? I’m so used to all the questions, mispronunciations I never give it a thought anymore with providers. BBD

I have to get my own sorted. Should have had it last year, but my Dr put the kaibosh on that due to Covid. But as what used to be called “bowel cancer” as a catch all runs in the family of 3 of my 4 grandparents, I need to get it done. While true, there are ways to hide that info from the public ie; buy in the name of an LLC or a trust. In NY, there are also ways to hide the purchase price from the public records. But, to be fair, is your gent going to go to the trouble of digging into records to get this info? When I was a bit more concerned both about appearances, and/or trying out a new gent, I would spring for a hotel. But honestly, I can’t remember the last time I did that. Use this site, the great gents on here to get feedback on a provider you may be considering. While YMMV as far as activities go is true, I’d trust any gent on here regarding discussions of safety and discretion ?? BBD

As a point of interest, there are agencies sanctioned by the Russian government that you can hire to do all he legwork for you. Of course, said agencies will charge you well for the convenience of their services. Yes - cruise ships, and the ferry are exempt from visas, but you cannot stay on land overnight, and the exemption is only good for 48 hours.

Russian visas are a pain, period. First, there are 4 or 5 different types, and woe be to you if you don’t adhere to the rules associated with your visa. You will also need “an invitation” from a recognised Russian entity to submit with your visa application. When you get there, you fill out a migration card at passport control - don’t lose it!! You will need it to check in to your hotel(s), and when you exit. It goes without saying you should not stay past your visa’s expiry, but if you do, you will not be allowed to leave. You’ll have to stay at your own expense while you wait for an exit visa to be granted. All in all, it’s about $250 for the visa - more for a multiple entry which is good for 3 or 5 years, depending on your country. NB: this info is if you’re going on your own - if you’re going as part of a tour, the tour operator normally handles all this for you.
