Agreed - IG Nico looks very different from RM Niko. IG looks leaner, darker complected, curly longish hair, different facial features. RM has a more muscular build, a fairer complexion, shorter hair, different facial features. Could he have bulked up? Gotten lean? Got a tan? Lost a tan? Cut his hair? Let it grow out? All are possible, and all could make Nico look so different on the sites. 🤷🏼‍♂️ A conundrum for sure 🧐 For what it’s worth, personally I prefer RM Nico over IG Nico. Have any of you gents experienced loss of body hair? I’ve always been a furry enough fellow -legs, torso, forearms, etc.- hence the use the “bear” moniker. I have noticed over the last 5+ years, the hair on my legs in particular has thinned out considerably. Honestly, I chalked it up to years of wearing long dress socks with suits, and I suppose I thought it’s also a natural part of aging. I just mentioned it in passing to a mate, and he offered it’s due to a drop in testosterone, and I should have my doctor check my levels. Quelle surprise! Have any of you gents had this happen? Is there a specific test I should request or is a general “check my testosterone levels” sufficient? I’m having blood work done next week, so I’m thinking I should have this test run then. Thoughts? I don’t know where you’re located @JayJayStarr, but pre-Covid there were a number of cleaning agencies in NYC that offered naked male cleaners. I never engaged them myself, but I know people who have. The two names I remember were “Tidy Whities” and “Buff Maids”. I have no idea if either are still in business tho 🤷🏼‍♂️ Try a google search for “gay maid service your location”, and see what’s on offer. Some may offer cleaning in undies or a jock. Word of mouth recommendations from other providers are all well, and good but I’d still do some due diligence here to see what pros/cons other hobbyists have to say about him. To my mind, and just going by your narrative, I don’t think this provider behaved in any type of professional manner at all. That you felt you needed to leave the hotel you had booked with him, and go book another room for yourself is unbelievable - as is this provider thinking it was in any way appropriate for him to see another client for five hours. I’m not telling you what to do, but I would consider naming him to give other hobbyists a heads up who may be considering him. BBD

I think you need to choose either his firm for your legal representation or him for this hobby. Mixing business with pleasure -no matter the circumstances- rarely ends well. There are all sorts of flashing red warning signs, plenty of potential conflicts, and you’d be putting yourself, and the provider in an awkward if not entirely comprising positions. Think with your big head, not your little head, and choose wisely. BBD

Not a medical professional here by any means, but per my doctors, I’ve been monitoring my sugar now for 2 years. From what my doctor said to me, what I understood was that “natural sugars” are fine, it is the added refined white sugar, and manufactured sugar substitutes that are the problem. However, this only applies to an otherwise healthy patient, with no underlying or additional health conditions. If you’re an individual that is overweight, that they’re monitoring your A1C, your glucose, and if you had any of a variety of other medical conditions, even natural sugars are a problem. I don’t add or use a lot of refined white sugar in my daily diet, but I do have a sweet tooth, I like fruit, I love bread, and I do love Italian food. At one point for me, all those presented problems. Two years ago my A1C was 6.9, my glucose was 102, and I was considerably overweight (my heaviest ever). What followed for me was a complete diet, and yes, lifestyle change. I cut out all refined white sugar except for a teaspoon in my tea. I also cut out about 95% of carbs - no spuds, no white or brown rice, no pasta, no bread, no cookies, cake, candy. I started using quinoa, cauliflower pasta, and veggie based wraps. I also increased my leafy green veg intake (thankfully, I always ate a lot of veg), and severely cut my fruit intake. I cut out all soda, juice, and started drinking only water - at least a gallon a day. Two years later, my A1C was down to 5.2, my glucose down to 85, and I have so far dropped 68 lbs. While I have relaxed some of my restrictions - I allow myself a baked potato or pasta once or twice a week; I let myself have some plain cookies or a candy bar if I get a craving - I have kept the majority of them. At this point I’m used to it all, and I don’t want to get my numbers that high again or be that heavy ever again. I have an appointment for blood work at the end of this month, so I’m hoping the numbers are even lower, and that I’ve dropped a few more pounds 🤞🏻 None of this is meant as being a braggadocio, just offering my own experience for anyone confronting this to show that yes you can make changes, and get results. I’m not saying it’s easy by any means - it can be challenging but the challenge I think is worth better health, and just feeling better yourself 👍🏻 BBD

Many gents -gay and bi- are either picky about who they kiss, or consider French kissing “too intimate” - I know the latter makes no sense to me either considering the other activities, but it’s what I’ve been told by more than 1 provider 🤷🏼‍♂️ It really is a classic case of “YMMV” vs any hard and fast rule about gay vs bi - especially given the number of gents who list themselves on RM as “bi” (and at least 3 that I’ve known that list as “straight”) for marketing purposes when in real life, they’re as gay as a goose! I’d have to disagree with this assessment. $120K nets you about $80K after taxes. That’s about $6600 a month. While it’s true that you can get some deals on rent, those deals are usually outside Manhattan. An example - my nephew found a legitimate 2 bed (LR, EIK, 1 bath) in Astoria for $2K. It’s a prewar, but is on a fairly commercial strip, is in real estate parlance rather “bijou”, has retail on the ground level, and is a walk up. But he (and his roommate) are 24, in their first jobs after graduating, and are happy as Larry with their digs. Unless you’re in a rent stabilized or rent controlled unit, I don’t anyone paying less that $3800 a month for an alcove studio or proper 1 bed in Manhattan. Then toss in your other monthlies - utilities (avg $200), cable ($150), MetroCard ($130), phone ($125), food ($500), dry cleaning/laundry ($100) - you’re left with $365 a week for any discretionary spending - which in Manhattan can (and will) go pretty quickly. Also note that none of this includes a gym membership, or any 401K contributions or other savings. Even on $120K in Manhattan, you still need to be pretty thrifty. $120K is a decent salary - but NYC is expensive, Manhattan more so. If asked, my advice is to look into certain neighborhoods in Queens and Brooklyn where it’s an easy commute to Manhattan, plenty of amenities nearby, and you can still get a legitimate 1 bed for under $2K. Just my 2 cents. BBD

I don’t necessarily think a name change is an automatic “red flag”. Sometimes providers change the repertoire they offer - and if what was formally offered is tied directly to his previous profile name, that may be the reason. Others change names when they move geographic locations when their previous location was part of their name. You get the gist. I’m not saying one shouldn’t proceed with the usual amount of caution - I’m just offering some plausible reasons for a name change. Using this provider to illustrate (NB: this is pure speculation on my part, just offered to demonstrate how name changes can be innocent) - previously “bottombunktwunk” - perhaps he’s enjoying a more versatile style now, perhaps he’s muscled out of “twunk” territory, and entered “jock” land now. As I said, do the same as you would gathering intel, feedback from other hobbyists, but view the name change with at best, a “dusty rose flag” vs a “red flag”. Just my two cents. BBD

I would agree with @JTtorretto in that repeating rumours of what one heard, what one read is often very damaging to the subject of the rumour. Especially so in this hobby where reputation is everything. Once it’s “said” out loud -even when it turns out to be false- such rumours stick, and doubt remains. I don’t mean to imply that @BaronArtz meant anything malicious by his post - I really think it was meant an “FYI - I heard…”. However I think in situations such as this, and in this hobby, discretion is the better part of valour. Unless one has firsthand knowledge of a particular damaging/dangerous aspect of a provider, best not to trade in rumours on the public forums. If one feels obliged to inform a hobbyist considering engaging a gent, best leave it to a private conversation. Agreed, the yacht would definitely involve splashing out pretty large. The one that another inquired about with the agent (7 nights, slept 14, crew of 22) would work out the same per person as the entire cost of a villa for 10 days. So that’s a consideration.

@Luv2play Ibiza was put up as option, most of us have been there during our salad days of youth, and had fantastic times, but we wondered if we’re a bit past it now 🤷🏼‍♂️ @Epigonos one of the group actually has a place in PV, we’ve all been thru the years, and had great times. But we’re all wanting a European trip. This way whoever wants can extend their time to visit family, go hit another city/country. @spider agreed on privacy! Two of the group already registered their concern about getting “all over tans” on a yacht 😂 A villa is definitely more conducive for that activity. Thanks for your reply, @MscleLovr! When we started discussing the idea in April, just looking into either, nothing was available that would suit us. We’re looking at June or September 2023 - but we know we have to figure which one, and book it this month before what we want, and the dates we want, are gone. Costa Brava is beautiful, my concern would be accessibility to towns - as there will be 10-12 of us, that’s 3 cars to rent to get around, unless the villa comes with a Merc Sprinter type van, and driver to ferry us around. For that reason alone, Sitges on the Costa Garraf may best suit us - walk to town. I think the yacht sounds great, but may not be great in reality. These would be fully crewed motor yachts, not sailing yachts, and what we’ve seen are roomy enough, but at the end of the day, it’s still 24/7 with the same 10-12 gents, hoping from island to island each day. Maybe if we had a “home base” on one of the islands and only took excursions a few days to some others, that would work 🤷🏼‍♂️ I’m kind of leaning towards the villa - even with daily staff to cook, clean, even drive, it works out to be more economical - even with all the luxury bells and whistles - than the yacht trip. Plus, there’s more space - indoors, and out - for anyone to do their own thing if they want - go to the beach, lounge by the pool, wander into town, etc. - vs on the yacht you’re always together.

Deposits trigger a lot of hobbyists, so tread lightly! 😂 I don’t think it’s entirely unreasonable for a provider to request a nominal deposit from new clients or from clients who have been no shows or canceled at the last minute previously. I agree with @KensingtonHomo that the deposit should be no more than 25% of the agreed fee for the session. There will be a subset of hobbyists who will balk at any mention of deposit, who don’t want to leave any paper or electronic trail to this hobby. Be upfront about requiring a deposit in your ad. As I said, I think it’s fine for new clients, but I don’t think existing clients should be subject to sending a deposit. As far as your mention of expenses - those expenses, (travel costs, hotel costs), should already be built into your hourly rate. The deposit is really just to separate the wheat from the chaff, the flakes from the serious. Good luck! Gents, Thanks to covid, myself and a few mates missed out on commemorating some milestone birthdays. We’ve been talking about needing to “make up for it”, and have tossed around some ideas. We’re in agreement we want an overseas holiday, and considering everything from covid, we don’t mind splashing out. There would be 10-12 of us, all gay men between 44 and 62 - some coupled up, some single. Right now we’re thinking either renting a staffed beach villa on the Catalan Coast in Spain or a chartered yacht thru The Cyclades. I thought I’d post here for any feedback from those who have done either/both - pros, cons, and the like. As we’re not married to either idea or destination, tho we’re all beach lovers, so a beach is desired wherever we wind up, if you have an alternative you’d recommend, do let me know. Languages aren’t much of a barrier - we’ve polyglots in the group that speak Spanish, Italian, French, Greek, German, and Arabic. Thanks! BBD

Here’s a novel idea - if you find him, his tattoos, his daily posting of multiple pics so very offensive, stop following him!!! This goes directly to what myself, and others have said previously - no one is forcing you to look at pics of guys who have made choices you find offensive, no one is forcing you to constantly whinge and moan about the fellow in question, and make disparaging comments about him. Yet, for some inexplicable reason, you do. For a retired professional man of a certain vintage, this is very childish behaviour.

In this thread, there was some confirmation that the pics were indeed the gent in question. There was also some chat about how his IG account also confirmed this.
