I know outside of Fire Island, Long Island is not the most progressive part of New York. But things seem to be getting worst, and I like to know why. Growing up here, Nassua County was always a complete wasteland, but I knew there were a few gay bars in Suffolk. And remember there being a lot more ads before I started hiring. Now there's nothing. It also seems that even Fire Island is slowing down. I'm surprised how little ads are there during Pride month. What happened?

I would hire a Republican who voted for Bush or Romney. Not someone who voted for a man who said they were good people among white supremacist, and continues to support that person.

Just to stay off topic a little more, I do start of slow, to build the same levels of trust. I’m not going to start ramming a guy at stage one, or even two. The problem was we never move past stage one. I was very patient with him so that he was able to get use to me. He never truly did though. Probably because he was not really a bottom. If you want to take the chance and ask, fine. But, make sure you keep in mind what you’re spending your money on.

Couldn’t that be said for the versatile guy advertising as a top? How many clients is he missing out on to cater to the straight obsessed crowd? Why is it my job to play a guessing game when you can just be clear straight out? Why is bad thing to take an ad at face value? Sorry, but if you say you’re a top, you’re a top. I’m a total top too. I don’t view it as missing out at all. I don’t want to play the guessing game anymore. If you advertise as a top or top/verse, I’m going to believe you’re are one. And hire someone who advertises as versatile, bttm/verse, or bttm. You advertise for the customers you want. I’m sure there are a lot of guys that are versatile than they claim. But I’m not a mind reader. I can only go by the information you give me. Plus, as a top myself, I don’t like it when another top hits me up on grindr or scruff, looking for me to bottom for them. I’d be a hypocrite if I did that to someone else.

Well then it’s a useless function, at least for me, as there are always going to be more premium guys in NYC than Long Island. Thanks for clarifying! Update: I get giving your higher paying ads a leg up, but I like to point out why I think that’s a bad way to go in this case. Like I said, NYC is always going to have more premium ads because it’s a high population center. But also, being a high population center, the need for a GPS service is also not as important, as public transport and shorter distances make travel less of a hurdle. Where as in a low population center, with little transportation options, the differences between 2-15 miles can mean a great deal. I don’t get this tactic.

I think I’m not explaining it well, because I know an escort will put their general location, but not their actual address. I’m not complaining about escorts. I’m talking about RentMen showing me NYC guys 20-30 miles away from me, before showing me Long Island profiles 5-10 miles away.
