On the surface, what you propose makes good sense. However, if you look at many of the rentmen ads, you will see that a good number of escorts travel around frequently. You might see an ad for Los Angeles one day but the next day might show the same person advertising in New York. There is no easy solution.

Ravages of time - remember any of these former stars?
coriolis888 replied to coriolis888's topic in The Lounge
Above at my post dated June 13, I acknowledged an error I made about the second person's identity in the video. A poster was kind enough to furnish the correct name of the actress. Now it is time to correct another error. Alan Delon was initially French. In 1999 he became a Swiss citizen, thus then acquiring dual citizenship - France and Switzerland. There is much written about his dual citizenship. Below is one link that confirms that he has both French and Swiss citizenship. This thread has become a few movie history lessons. https://www.pinterest.se/pin/856598791599101839/ - -

Escorts who double their rates after a couple of years

"How long-term care insurance works To buy a long-term care insurance policy, you fill out an application and answer health questions. The insurer may ask to see medical records and interview you by phone or face to face. You choose the amount of coverage you want. The policies usually cap the amount paid out per day and the amount paid during your lifetime. Once you’re approved for coverage and the policy is issued, you begin paying premiums. Under most long-term care policies, you’re eligible for benefits when you can’t do at least two out of six “activities of daily living,” called ADLs, on your own or you suffer from dementia or other cognitive impairment. The activities of daily living are: Bathing. Caring for incontinence. Dressing. Eating. Toileting (getting on or off the toilet). Transferring (getting in or out of a bed or a chair). When you need care and want to make a claim, the insurance company will review medical documents from your doctor and may send a nurse to do an evaluation. Before approving a claim, the insurer must approve your “plan of care.” Under most policies, you’ll have to pay for long-term care services out of pocket for a certain amount of time, such as 30, 60 or 90 days, before the insurer starts reimbursing you for any care. This is called the “elimination period.” The policy starts paying out after you’re eligible for benefits and usually after you receive paid care for that period. Most policies pay up to a daily limit for care until you reach the lifetime maximum. Some companies offer a “shared care” option for couples when both spouses buy policies. This lets you share the total amount of coverage, so you can draw from your spouse’s pool of benefits if you reach the limit on your policy. Cost of long-term care insurance The rates you pay depend on a variety of things, including: Your age and health: The older you are and the more health problems you have, the more you’ll pay when you buy a policy. Gender: Women generally pay more than men because they live longer and have a greater chance of making long-term care insurance claims. Marital status: Premiums are lower for married people than single people. Insurance company: Prices for the same amount of coverage will vary among insurance companies. That’s why it’s important to compare quotes from different carriers. Amount of coverage: You’ll pay more for richer coverage, such as higher limits on the daily and lifetime benefits, cost-of-living adjustments to protect against inflation, shorter elimination periods, and fewer restrictions on the types of care covered. A single 55-year-old man in good health buying new coverage can expect to pay an average of $2,050 a year for a long-term care policy with an initial pool of benefits of $164,000, according to a 2019 price index from the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance. Those benefits compound annually at 3% to total $386,500 at age 85. For the same policy, a single 55-year-old woman can expect to pay an average of $2,700 a year. The average combined premiums for a 55-year-old couple, each buying that amount of coverage, are $3,050 a year. A caveat: The price could go up after you buy a policy; prices are not guaranteed to stay the same over your lifetime. Many policyholders saw spikes in their rates in the last several years after insurance companies asked state regulators for permission to hike premiums. They were able to justify rate increases because the cost of claims overall were higher than they had projected. Regulators approved the rate increases because they wanted to make sure the insurance companies would have enough money to continue paying claims." In short, it is complicated to decide when to shop for this service -

Are you aware that the link you include with your posts ( https://rent.men/HoleStimulus ) reaches a non existent ad? Just curious why you include a link that does not work. -

It is personal. It is also a form of greed and/or naivete on the part of the escort. -

It appears that the escort is unappreciative for your being one of his first customers and for your help in his academia and ongoing association. The fact that he includes you at his increased rate that he plans to charge new clients does not speak well of him. He shows little, if any, appreciation for your long-term association. I believe in the old idiom where it says that unappreciative people are undeserving people. Life is a two-way street, so to speak. Although it might be emotionally difficult to let him out of your life, the fact that he includes you at his new rate indicates you are nothing special to him. Good luck with a new find. -
He has advertised on rentmen for two and one-half years. Has only one recent review. He had no reviews prior to the current review. He changes locations more often than a Bekins Moving truck https://rentmen.eu/Melometio

Ravages of time - remember any of these former stars?

You are correct, Romy Schneider died too young for the person at number 2 to be her. Thanks for the research. I will let my friend know who gave me the Rony Schneider data, that it cannot be correct. Thanks for clearing up the missing identities. -

With due respect, a fun and educational thread suddenly took a turn in the wrong direction. John Travolta was not one of the former actors included in the video at the beginning of this thread. -
Ravages of time - remember any of these former stars?

Mystery solved. The actress' name was Romy Schneider. She was the second actress in the video, following Alain Delon. In life, she was the live-in partner of Alain Delon, although they never married. She did not speak English and was from Vienna/Germany. Not speaking English kept her from making American films although she made many European films that were shown in some theaters in the U.S. Below is a little about her along with some of her photos. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Romy_Schneider -
Ravages of time - remember any of these former stars?

My posting the video of former celebrities was not an attempt at "beating up celebs for not aging well." I like old movies from an earlier era. I know that many others also like old movies. Reading through the posts, I do not see anyone beating up on the celebs. I certainly did not. The posted responses mostly show curiosity who some of the former actors were. Someone sent the video to me and I enjoyed the video. I thought that many forum members would also like and be interested in seeing how former celebrities looked after their stardom fell. Everyone will age and will not look attractive, if they live long enough. Again, no put down is or was intended. -

Not Lauren Bacall. I do not know who it is. Here is a collection of Lauren Bacall photos from childhood onward. There are 40 photos. Click to advance and you will see that the photos are not of number 2 in the video. https://www.harpersbazaar.com/celebrity/g31038655/lauren-bacall-life-in-photos/?slide=1 If I learn who number 2 is, I will post it. -

Let us not forget Hedy Lamarr who is among the actresses shown in the video. She was often called "the most beautiful woman in the world" in the film industry. In addition to her acting, she was also an inventor. We can thank her for her invention of early cell phone technology. https://www.newsweek.com/only-woman-room-marie-benedict-hedy-lamarr-books-1285093 -

The only male in the collection of actors is a Frenchman (now Swiss) actor named Alain Delon- In his day, he was considered top billing as a male actor. He is alive and lives in Switzerland. https://www.pinterest.com.au/bettyfiver/alain-delon-doing-things/ -

One last comment about this guy and his ad. As noted in the title of this thread, it states: "American Muscle Boy in Australia (This Summer)" I have visited Australia and I know when their winter is (beginning June 1 - ten days ago). It is WINTER now in Australia. Not correctly identifying the season of the year is another red flag that indicates or suggests that the person placing the ad is a fraud. It is good for forum members that we "sniff out" these fake ads. Likely, many forum readers get saved money and aggravation by reading the various inconsistencies in various ads that we find and expose. Over and out.
-
The "new" ad makes no mention of his being an American. That sales pitch failed on arrival. Given the extensive news coverage regarding travel restrictions between the U.S. and Australia his supposedly being an American on tourism became obvious that it is not so.
-
Hilarious- - - - The ad is now gone (rentment 404) which is confirmation that the claims of the provider were bogus in that he claimed to be an American in Australia (despite travel bans against Americans visiting Australia). I wonder if he reads this forum. If so, he saw that his bogus claims of being in Australia were rejected by reality. In any event, it is good the OP did not send any money to the fake.

"Another one set up a meeting. We met outside the hotel lobby, and he had my stats and all other details ( including 'other' as ethnicity) before the meeting. When he noticed I was not white, he said he was taken aback and did not want to go forward. This was waste of my time" But, the meeting did happen. Were it not for the dumb attitude of the escort, you would have carried through. What was there "to be faked" with rentmen? You did, in fact, meet with the escort. You met, then the escort did not want to go forward with the meeting. That does not change the fact that you met, which is all rentmen requires for a review.
