I rarely think about it but I have similar 'old' feelings, as I have one degree of separation to someone who served in WW1 (my grandmother who was an army nurse in Egypt). 90 years later I was back in the same region on active military service, so there are parallels. (My grandfather served on the Western Front but died in the 1930s.)

Do it even if you are not meeting someone, to see what happens. Think about your diet, fibre may help (metameucil perhaps). I thought I knew about douching but I bought a new shower attachment. I'd saved the quote to reply before reading on but I'll second the examples already cited. Not having had a significant other while I was in the workforce it wasn't an issue for me but being casual and open about one's sexual orientation can be as simple as using the appropriate personal pronoun rather than dancing around the issue and using 'they'. In my case, the closest it came was having to handle questions as to why I wasn't married, and I typically avoided the issue.
