  1. That was my initial response too, but what Austin did prompted me to read postings about him more critically. One of the things I saw commented on was that he [as a big guy] was protective of his clients in public. I'm not saying that cancels out the 'outing' but it is evidence that it's more complicated than simply condemning him for that infraction. His fee is a little out of my league, but that's a limit I impose, not a criticism of him.
  2. A prominent Australian disabled rights activist, and stand-op comic [well, actually sit down comic, since she was wheel-chair bound], Stella Young, who sadly has since passed away, once commented that she became an atheist when she realised there was only a stairway to heaven.
  3. That's capitalism, work your guts out for 20 years to get what you already have! http://smilingspot.com/the-american-businessman-came-to-a-small-mexican-village-he-never-expected-this-to-happen/
  4. Or, 'The bastard told me he was wearing a condom'?
  5. Yup, a reason for countries like India, South Africa and Brazil (I pick them because they have the technical capabilities to produce the drugs as generics) to decline to particpate in the Western patent merry-go-round for pharmaceuticals.
  6. If so Greg, it shows what a complete tool Shkreli was to gloat about increasing the price of a drug that was out of patent. He destroyed the ability that the company clearly had to sell it for $13.50. If he had said nothing (and done nothing) noone else would have likely bothered to set up production and eat his lunch.
  7. And there was I thinking that, after so many years of the war on drugs, the RNC was now advocating a free market. Yup and single payer pharmaceutical providers have bargaining power to get good prices from drug companies, to patients' benefit. Here all prescription drugs that are covered by the scheme cost the patient $37.70 ($6.10 concession holders), but drugs aren't automatically covered, rather drugs are evaluated for their benefit before being included. If they're not on the scheme, no subsidy so unless there is no alternative treatment no one will prescribe them.

    uber

That's the headline figure, and apparently funded by the state government (which has just announced a projected $3b budget surplus this FY (Jul 15 to Jun 16)). The government will fund some of the cost with a levy of $1 per trip on all point-to-point transport providers, There will be fixed compensation of $20,000 per plate (max of 2 per owner) and case by case compensation above that for recent purchasers of plates (who would have paid heaps for them).

    uber

The state government in NSW has just legalised Uber effective midnight tonight (17 Dec at 1300UTC). As with the ACT six weeks ago it's subject to criminal and safety checks, and taxis retain exclusive rights to be hailed in the street, or pick up at taxi ranks or at Sydney Airport. There will also be a $AU250m industry readjustment fund to compensate taxi and hire car owners for the loss of value of their plates.
  10. You can't be too careful about the sun being sucked up be some solar panels or windmills stopping the wind from blowing!
  11. I haven't been to the station in Liège (Luik) for over 30 years. I remember falling as I tried to take my bicycle up an escalator!
  12. Main railway stations built between 1850 and 1900 are some of the most beautiful buildings around. That said, the newer stations in places like Berlin are awesome as well.
  13. Demolishing significant buildings is not limited to NYC. Many beautiful Georgian and Victorian buildings were demolished in Sydney. One which narrowly escaped was the Queen Victoria Building that covers an entire city block; https://www.qvb.com.au/about-qvb Sydney Central Station is another landmark. http://www.weekendnotes.com/im/000/07/photo05131.jpg
  14. I thought Cambridge was in Boston, is there one in NYC as well?
  15. You're quite right, while chemistry from the client's end can be an issue, chemistry from the escort's side should never be. The top escorts you cite are unlikely to have chemistry issues with clients, they know how to do the business. Of course it's possible that a client may not think it clicks. It's entirely possible that some escorts would not be 'into' a particular client, and the client would be entitled to report that in a review. But they need to remember that chemistry is a two-way street.
  16. He could do me any time he liked! (Dream on, Michael!!)
  17. In the current Royal Commission on child sex abuse it came out that one of the more notorious perpetrators had a character reference from his bishop that said words to the effect that he had touched the lives of many young people. Either bereft of any insight or breathtakingly honest, if indirectly so.
  18. There has been a lot of discussion in the forum over the time I have been here on this subject. Do some searches on cleaning, douching, preparing, bottoming and any other terms you can think of, and read widely. There are a lot of views on what helps and counterviews on the same solutions. Although 'shit happens' there are many steps you can take to ensure a shit-free meeting (or nearly so).
  19. Wait, I just looked at JetBlack's pics! Nice!!
  20. I'm converting all these fees into Australian Dollars (aka Pacific Pesos) and wondering how big the piles of banknotes will be!
  21. I know you weren't asking me, and from your careful phrasing of the question you clearly understand the range of contexts in which this can occur. Brian touched on this too. I could easily say I love an escort and in my mind I know that I mean I love him in the context of this hour/night I am with him. If I had said it and you didn't hear me that way, I would hope that you would have pushed back gently to see what I really meant. If you thought I meant I really loved you, run away as fast as you can. If you figured out that I meant I love you right now, but I can walk away, and that if we met again in two months (and if that were the case, I would want to meet you) I will love you again and will be able to walk away again, then there would be nothing to worry about. Work out what the guy means and react accordingly. If you think he really loves you try to ease him out of it gently, he should understand. If he clearly does not, then 'run away' applies again!
  22. I realise I'm a relative newbie, William! I look forward to seeing more of him now I know he is about!!
  23. STOP IT TRAVELLER! You are trying to force me to travel to the NE of the USA in WINTER. You're inhuman!!
  24. Good point, I had assumed they were just insecure not that they were reacting to previous bad experiences. The fact that you have had people share their experiences demonstrates that my theory was not always correst. You've educated me again.
  25. Well, I had been reading this thread and wondering why I had never heard of Tristan Waters. And all the time thinking that 'surely he is really talking about Tristan Baldwin'. Perhaps my instinct was right all along! I'm not saying I am secretly lusting after Mr Baldwin. I'm not. Really.
