A question about kissing.... In short, does it matter? If I’m in bed with someone doing the things that people do then we are well within the minimum distance such that simply talking (much less screaming someones name) would almost certainly spread the virus. What difference does kissing make ?

I used Hello Fresh for a few months about a year ago and stopped because the recipes seeme to get repetitive. I restarted in early March because of the unknowns with grocery stores and food availability and still get them. (As it turns out that was unnecessary.) The freshness seems to have declined in this second trial. Last night a recipe called for a scallion and it was rotten. Last week some green beans in a microwave bag were well past their useable life. Also, I’ve learned to avoid any steak-like product. The “sirloin“ is uniformly tough to the point of being inedible. I called them after one of the packages particularly irked me and they credited me $39 (I think). The use many of the same long-life vegetable ingredients in several recipes and just change up the seasonings and preparation. You can only make so many different meals with chicken cutlets, new potatoes and green beans.

I’ve had very few overnights but I think that the best was with a 23’ish FTM transguy i met via SA. He was crazy-horny (because of the testosterone, he said) and able to have orgasm after orgasm. No, but this thread has made me rethink my lack of consideration of this.

I’m unsure how can someone “price gouge” for an hourly rate of companionship. I would use that term to describe an increase in price of basic necessities - food staples, gasoline, etc. - during a time of temporary shortage when there is no alternative available. I love... sometimes even crave... intimacy but it’s not like a loaf of bread or gallon of milk I must have. My thinking hasn’t changed at all on rates since pre-Covid days: I decide on a case by case basis if the business model someone has chosen is a good match with my interests; I have and will choose alternatives including foregoing meets if there is no good match. same as before. Tangentially, I have never seen any correlation between hourly rate and how rewarding I find my time with someone.

Legit question from a new member. (Welcome) Create a profile there that describes what you have enjoyed doing in the past. In a text discussion I wouldn’t say “When we meet I want you to breed me while I wear my mothers wedding gown” but rather ”in the past I have thought about lots of mutual oral and have fantasized about... whatever“. Remember that you’re truly paying for someone’s time and you should ensure in advance that your interests are aligned with those of your companion or you’ll both be unhappy with the outcome. I have yet to meet a companion who can read minds and if you don’t commuicate your interests you‘re likely to be disappointed.

I hope he plans to do more than “breathe“ on someone.

I’ve been thinking a lot about this and, unfortunately, I don’t have a practical, empirical answer to this... for example, “the number of new infections in my city has declined 5 weeks in a row”. My unscientific answer is whenever I have a reasonable sense that I won’t get sick. I am operating under the conservative assumption that if I do become infected that it would be really unpleasant, as opposed to a nuisance like a mild case of conventional flu. This unscientific criterion is difficult because it is influenced by 1) what feels “normal“ in my area (and my state is in the leading edge of openings), and, 2) what I’m willing to settle for in a meeting (to the point made above, kissing is currently a deal-breaker for me). I’m also operating under the assumption that no one is “safe” regardless of claims of having already been infected and therefore cannot be contagious (unless there is solid evidence from the CDC, etc., to the contrary.) I plan to watch the next few weeks and see how the infection rates in my city react to the aggressive reopenings.

THIS ! What the hell is going on with bread flour ? I have looked for it every single trip I’ve made to the store - 2 chains - and havent been able to find it. I like the slightly chewy texture that the protein in bread flour creates. I’ve got lots of all purpose flour but can’t get my hands on the good stuf.

I completely understand what you’re saying. But the way I perceive these stories is that the underlying theme is that Hollywood creates a place of “magical” possibilities. Movies like Star Wars or 2001 or Superman or The Shape of Water are all about What If. Hollywood loves itself and the people in the business, like many, sometimes can be a bit narcissistic. I personally disliked La La Land but Hollywood loved it. So, all these cultural impossibilities in the last episodes exist within the context of suspended disbelief. I think that’s the idea anyway.
