My only emotions from this are sadness and sympathy. Only an overpowering emotional burden could inspire this degree of self-desecration of an otherwise very attractive young man (my armchair diagnosis). I wonder what it is he sees in that mirror.

Only with bar mates. I was never able to understand the responses "I'd never pay for it." I could understand it if these individuals were exceptionally good-looking and sought after, but that's not the case, and they would tell tales of endless time-wasted pursuits netting rejections and disappointments. I have almost always paid for "it" and I have no regrets for the options of selection, convenient times, and no strings. Apparently, I'm among the minority of clients in that, when I find someone who satisfies, I stick with him exclusively until he is no longer available to me.

I agree, food is no joke for me, it's a religion.
