My concern is that the site reflect active members. I would start with deleting those who signed up and never posted. I have not advocated deleting any content. If content is there, is it not simple enough to say "guest" rather than member? I find the logic less than compelling that removing a member from an active list only moves him to another member list. That's why guest works better than inactive "member".

When I mentioned "Today's Birthdays" in another thread, @Charlie replied that he didn't recognize the names. So I have been checking it out more lately, the birthdays. And guess what? Hardly any of them are still posting! Some only visited the one day when they registered, never to return. It's the same with today's birthdays. @jeffOHhasn't posted in ELEVEN YEARS! Yet he is still a "member?" I know that the admins have been busy since @Daddy's death. But soon we might think about clearing out the names of "members" who have long forgotten this place.

These big money guys should reimburse the club patrons their $20 admission fee.

Not hardly. When I went to see the price of tickets for an Angels/Yankees game, marginal seats along the base lines were over $800! And that was the box office, not StubHub.

Why would one read a book repeatedly? For one, there are many fish in the sea. Two, what do you gain when you ignore a book so that you can read another one repeatedly? Granted, a second reading often shows you new insights that you missed upon the first reading, but, I submit, it is a diminishing return.

These last two days I have been reading Red, White, & Royal Blue. Although at times preposterous or silly, it is indeed a fun romp of a read for someone looking to enjoy time at the beach or a long plane ride. Imagine a Prince of England secretly dating the First Son of the United States! No, not Don Jr. and Prince Harry. Author McQuiston creates a female president and a 21 year old son. e meets Prince Henry. Will love blossom? Will they get caught? Who sucks whom? Lots of history too.
