I followed @Benjamin_Nicholasadvice and chose Express VPN. Not convinced that I need it though.
-
Thanks. I won't be needing that!
-
In reading about ExpressVPN they mentioned it working well with utorrent. But I have no idea what that is. Could someone advise? thanks.
-
I have decided to get a paid VPN, but have no doubt that i will need to learn how to use it. Suggestions are welcome.
-
Thanks for the suggestion, @Oriin. I think I first need to connect my new computer to the printer. It is wi-fi, so I will read up om that.

A few years ago, after a night at a Tijuana bar, we were crossing the bridge over to the US entry points when two cops stopped and robbed us. It put a perspective on our night out.

Conceding that Ted may have insights into @KrisParrthat I don't, I do wonder if he is overreacting. I'd certainly be careful with the hot guy but I don't know that I wouldn't have sex with him. If drugs are involved, then yes, take a fast U turn!

@mploHow many times have your read this book?

This week I read an article saying that living in a cluttered environment caused stress. But I already knew that. Recently I have been coming to terms with the clutter in my house after 17 years living here. I found things I hadn't touched since I moved in! So far, I have only de-cluttered the kitchen. That was forced on my when I decided to refurbish. But it forced me to realize how much remains to be done. It's not fun to actually put things away, or, God forbid, throw something out. Currently I am working on the junk room, with the garage getting even more cluttered. But, I am happy to take a break if you have some ideas on clutter...

On June 15th, everything is a go as the pandemic restrictions are lifted.
-
I am more inclined to think it has something to do with the printer not responding. It is wi-fi connected and perhaps I need to somehow link the printer to the new PC.
-
It would surprise me. I don't see a guy posting so much about himself here without forming some online friendships. To then just walk away from them indicates a selfishness that I didn't see in @BasketBaller.

I don't like the way that Microsoft bullies me on my new computer. I did post about this already, but if someone is searching, a separate thread may be more helpful. Here's how to avoid using Windows with Microsoft: https://www.minitool.com/news/bypass-microsoft-account-windows-10-setup.html Here's my earlier post: I have a new computer, and Microsoft is being quite the bully in deciding that I need them in places where I never have before. Anyone know how to escape it? In the past I have been able to print something, but now Microsoft insists I sent it to them and download it first. Do I need Microsoft at all?

@MsGuy last signed in in July, 2019, so if he is "following" me, it started in May, 2019, not last month. He would have had to sign in to do that. Anyway, I miss his posts.

Thanks for sharing your amazing adventure, @KrisParr

More names here: https://www.companyofmen.org/topic/38273-death-and-the-message-center/?tab=comments#comment-348626 @MsGuy posted in that thread, but I am rather sure that he has passed away too.

Pubics trimmed?

...most likely only about 15 minutes worth of work to be honest. Having accurate counts of active members seems basic to me. And only 15 minutes to do so. But if it is not important to others, se la vie.

I had never heard of Wilson Lai, so I had to see more!
-
My concern is that the site reflect active members. I would start with deleting those who signed up and never posted. I have not advocated deleting any content. If content is there, is it not simple enough to say "guest" rather than member? I find the logic less than compelling that removing a member from an active list only moves him to another member list. That's why guest works better than inactive "member".

When I mentioned "Today's Birthdays" in another thread, @Charlie replied that he didn't recognize the names. So I have been checking it out more lately, the birthdays. And guess what? Hardly any of them are still posting! Some only visited the one day when they registered, never to return. It's the same with today's birthdays. @jeffOHhasn't posted in ELEVEN YEARS! Yet he is still a "member?" I know that the admins have been busy since @Daddy's death. But soon we might think about clearing out the names of "members" who have long forgotten this place.

These big money guys should reimburse the club patrons their $20 admission fee.
