The idea that gays were effeminate caused me great consternation in my youth. I was thinking that I might be gay, but I was in no way effeminate, so how could I be? When I finally went to a gay bar I was flabbergasted at all of the masculine guys. Just stunned. It was a one-way trip from there! I'll never forget that macho guy dancing in a jock strap. It sealed the deal.

The YES Network, which broadcasts the Yankee games, has a rainbow logo for Pride month. They flash it often on the screen. Yet the home announcers have yet to mention it or even Pride month. Yesterday they spent some time talking about how colorful the opponents uniforms were, but rainbow colors were still not a topic. I guess that they are too busy yakking at their own lame jokes.

This weekend I read Bangkok 8 by John Burdett for the third time. Does that count as "repeatedly?" It's such a good novel about Bangkok and Thailand.
