@purplekow my grandmother is 96 and has Alzheimer’s. She lives with my parents and they have decided to keep her at home as long as they can manage it. Our fear has always been that she will not be treated with dignity. Your story really touched me and I hope that someone like you will show her the kindness you did to your patient if she ever ends up in a hospital alone... -

I agree. I feel bad for people who live paycheck to paycheck. When I was in my late twenties I decided to pay off my credit card debt and then save so I could have a comfortable stash of “fuck you” money. I still stress about losing my job but my FU money gives me some piece of mind...

Hmm... I think if your case was serious enough it would be ok to call an ambulance but I think otherwise they are telling people to self-isolate and try to get over the illness. I think asking your pcp is the best idea
