Bozo has already noticed that hotel prices and escort rates for June have increased in Toronto - another host city. Mid range TO hotels which last June went for $250-300 Can per night have doubled. It is inconceivable that the same won't happen in the NYC region. Expect to see higher hotel rates and more NYC escorts with increased prices in Gotham soon.
Bozo respects your opinion on negotiating prices; however, for Bozo it's simply part of the process. Sometimes the haggling aspect of the experience is more fun than the sexual part. Certainly in long term satisfaction.
There may be a few providers out there who refuse to play the negotiating game; fortunately, there are more than enough that do engage. And Bozo has not noticed any decrease in the energy level or quality of services rendered by the providers he has hired. Interesting article.  Anecdotal evidence, but probably somewhat accurate.  I haven't seen an inflow of new escorts on rentmen/NYC yet.  But it could be happening soon.
A note on haggling.  I like to haggle in other areas of my life but not when it comes to hiring escorts.  Sure, a guy may be in a financial pinch and reluctantly agree to a lower price.  In my mind, you are starting the session on a sour note already.   I expect the level of service and the overall enthusiasm to be much less than if you paid the ask.  But I don't really know - I have never haggled over escort rates.  I prefer to say thank you and walk away.

Curious, are y'all frequently getting discounted rates for repeat encounters? Is that a deal you were offered, or negotiated?
I've only been offered once, and never negotiate. Though most of my experience has been with female escorts, where any discussion of flexibility around rates leads to immediate rejection and sometimes poor reputation - it's a red flag for boundary pushing or disregard for other points mentioned in their ad. But I'm learning RM is a different world..

I thought BB was default until a recent trip to Europe. I was in Spain and fucking raw still seemed to be not quite the standard with a lot of guys. I learned from someone that it was a little bit harder to get access to PrEP/Doxy there so a lot of guys still played with condoms.

I understand it's natural for providers to touch up their photos, but when folks use a filter from an app, it's hard to determine whether they've done light editing, heavily distorted their features, or sometimes generated a person from scratch. AI detectors flag all of these as "likely AI use".
A couple years ago I'd look for tattoos - it's hard to consistently apply heavy filters without messing that up, or generate a person with the same tattoo across multiple photos, and easy to verify in person. But even those are straightforward to replicate with enough effort now.
 

Because I have time today, The red flags listed: 
- I'm new.  (for reasons mentioned above) 
- creating a new profile to reach out. (this is often done by spam bots who create new accounts daily, or seasoned tire kickers who know if we see how old/visit the profile they have had means they wouldn't be messaging this way if they were genuine.)
-Not answering the very simple yet important question, which had to be asked THREE TIMES - what do you want to do? What do you get into? What do you like to do when it comes to gay sex? (could be answered in a non-explicit way, although to be fair I despise when people answer with 'i'm looking to have fun' because what the hell does that mean) For me this was the biggest red flag. 
- asking questions that are already answered on his profile no1 - (do you do bb)  listed on our profiles as safe only/ask me/anything goes. Maybe this provider had 'ask me' as his answer but the following two points would suggest that is not the case. 
- asking questions that are already answered on his profile no2 - (are you neg) If he has taken the time to set up a new profile to reach out, why wouldn't he have read the providers stats?  He was elongating the conversation for interaction. 
- asking questions that are already answered on his profile no3  - asking the provider what THEY are into (this a common theme for the tire kickers trying to elicit free conversation of sexual nature. You tell us what YOU like, what we 'like' other than getting paid is irrelevant and the truthful answer is probably not fucking you)  
- asking sexual questions with obvious answers  - do you like to breed. (find me one top who would say 'no i hate it')
- He asked about traveling and hosting, despite later saying he only wanted to travel.  Why would he ask about both if he only wanted one. If he wanted the provider to host he would have said "i am looking for someone to host, where are you located?'  (example of elongating conversation instead of making a booking) 
- "and other services?" This is a classic way to get conversation instead of booking. Real client would say 'i saw you list available for videos, can i ask what you allow?" or " i would be really interested in filming some of our encounter, is that included in a session?" these questions would provide an answer, but that is not what he wanted - he wanted to explore conversations ABOUT making videos, rather than meeting and actually doing it. 
I hope this illustrates more about how the language of his texts were trying to get a conversation rather than firm down a booking. Does only one of these things mean automatic red flag block and ignore? Of course not. But the sum is greater than the parts, and after a while you start to be able to spot them easier.

I agree that seeing providers who host reduces the frequency of these problems.  What I've discovered from providers who use Dayuse is that there is an option (or maybe it's limited to certain hotels) for not paying when you book the room (or paying a nominal $10) but paying only if you check in.  I've met providers on the street in front of the hotel to confirm we're both there before checking in.  

It’s unfortunate but so many potential clients are just fishing for pics or sex chat with no or little intention to book. It makes one wary of engaging in too much back and forth to build a rapport. Plus there’s the time issue, how much time am I going to invest in a chat where someone is needing to be persuaded to book. Very little because those guys are usually flaky, they’ll book but then cancel nearer the time or even no show. So it’s not worth too much time to engage. Best approach is as someone said earlier ‘hi I’d like to book a session at 3 on Wednesday etc’. That will get a positive response. You can the ask any follow up questions. The best clients (those that get responses) have done their research and decided to book. It’s just a question of details after that.
