  1. I don't blame you! Boiled cabbage is what they serve you every day in Hades. They serve coleslaw (which is made with cabbage) in heaven, alongside you plate of fried chicken.

And steamed cabbage with steamed potatoes and steamed carrots and steamed kielbasa sausage chunks is an awesome meal.

Another fond memory of growing up - boiled potatoes, carrots, cabbage and turnips. Boil them to an inch of their life and then add a stick of butter! Delicious. I"ll have to try adding sausage next time!

  2. Growing up, it was a staple on the Thanksgiving table every year. It is the only time we ever had it. We included green grapes and walnuts. The tradition started with my grandmother, carried on with my mother after my grandmother passed, and now I make it. It is a good holiday memory.

  3. I used to think Sean was the hottest thing on the planet … so I started following him on social media. Now I find him completely unattractive. He is one of those guys that are better seen than heard IMO. Plus, he's only 5'8".

  4. I feel more normal after reading this thread! I grew up on a farm and we canned our own pickles, made our own kraut, pickled beets etc. I drink the juice of all of those things. I also love olive juice!

The replies about watching mom making pickles and stuff brought back fond memories ...
