  1. Team cody was practically neck and neck with team Well-Strung who were right behind them and were the only team left, so they really had no choice but to use the U-Turn on them. If I were on TAR, in the same position as Team Cody, I'd have to do the same thing to team Well-Strung. I am so sorry when gorgeous eye candy like Trevor and Chris get eliminated, but if you are trying to survive/hopefully win the race, you have no choice when it's down to you or them. At least this group of teams isn't mean, though it might have been more even or more exciting for say, team Ocean Rescue - Lucas & Brittany (not sure if Jessica left Brittany's gnome back on purpose!) to U-Turn team Cody earlier, before they U-Turned Trevor and Chris! I agree with you completely about Mr. Alexander, whom I always felt was a truly great tenor, too often not receiving the praise he deserved at times. He had amazingly diverse repertoire, from Bellini (Sonnambula, Norma) to Wagner, (Meistersinger,Lohengrin) with a special affinity for Puccini, Verdi, Gounod and Massenet. He sang at the MET for 26 years, up until he had an unexpected heart attack at age 67, on December 8, 1990, when he was still actively performing. He was physically unimpressive and quite short, (5' 5" or less) and for most of his career in concerts, he wore an obvious toupee. ...from a Saturday Afternoon MET radio broadcast of La Sonnambula, 12/21/1968 with Joan Sutherland: TruHart1
  3. Don't get me started on Barbara Harris. She was always amazing in her stage roles, both musical and straight. Though she was in a number of films, her roles were mainly character roles, with other bigger name film stars taking her stage lead roles such as Streisand in 'On a Clear Day'. She did get an Academy Award nomination for best supporting actress in "Who Is Harry Kellerman and Why Is He Saying Those Terrible Things About Me?" (1971) She also won the Tony Award for best actress in a musical for "The Apple Tree" (1967) TruHart1

I always found Ms. Neblett to be a fine soprano on recordings. I did read some negative reviews over the years she was performing but she was good to excellent in every broadcast I heard from the MET, Chicago Lyric, etc. She seemed to be a pretty savvy operatic actor, too, though I never saw her live. I do remember reading that she had some personal setbacks such as bad relationships, multiple divorces, emotional problems, etc. I also remember being especially impressed with a Chicago Lyric broadcast of Mozart's Don Giovanni in 1980 where Neblett sang Donna Elvira's aria Mi Tradi quell'alma ingrata, with unbelievable breath control that was so outstanding she seemed to never run out of air while singing almost impossibly long phrases most sopranos usually need to break up into shorter sections. She is also in my favorite studio recording of Korngold's Die tote Stadt with tenor René Kollo: Here is the hit tune from that recording: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wRrLvKVF2ME ...and here is the link to her obituary, November 28, 2017: https://www.nytimes.com/2017/11/28/obituaries/carol-neblett-dead-soprano-at-the-met-and-city-opera.html TruHart1

  8. http://variety.com/2018/tv/news/mark-salling-dead-dies-suicide-glee-1202681774/ His entire story after his arrest for possession of child pornography is just too sad for a young, talented man whose demons obviously ruined his life and career. TruHart1
  9. SPOILERS FOR THE COMPLETE AUDIO BOOK (pertaining to the Youtube above, read by Armie Hammer): A note for anyone who might listen to the complete book on the above Youtube link: that recording has a lot of what I can only describe as 'electronic stuttering' throughout its 7 hour 44 minute or so running time and the very last line (the very end of the book!) is truncated so "[gaze], and call me by your name." is missing! I listened to this particular Youtube version first, before I ordered the Audible.com audio book online, though I had already read the actual book so I could look up the final line in my 'hard copy' after hearing the line cut out on my first listening. 10. OUCH! Unless you're into having/enjoying pain in your ass!!! TruHart1
  11. I checked online and the budget for "Call Me By Your Name" was $3.5 million! By comparison, last year's best picture, "Moonlight", had a budget of only $1.5 million!!! The thing about CMBYN is that you can pretty well see (and hear!) every bit of its budget on the screen. Luca Guadagnino even explained that the waterfall near Bergamo toward the end of the film was not a natural falls but instead a release of water from a dam, so he and the actors and crew had to lug all of their equipment (Armie said everyone involved in filming that scene helped carry it) uphill to that location, and shoot it in only one take for the $7,000 dollars the dam required to release the floodgates for a short period of time! I hope the fact that this film earned back almost four times its budget in 3 months of release, so far, will open the way for more films of this caliber in the future, including any sequels Guadagnino may decide to make! I feel like CMBYN is historic for bringing an (exciting young) actor of Timothée Chalamet's talent to the attention of movie goers! Including his character in Ladybird, he is obviously also gifted with a very impressive range as an actor, too! I believe (and hope) that the role of Oliver in this film proves once and for all that Armie Hammer (I realize there are a number of naysayers about his acting talent!) has begun to fulfill the promise he first displayed as the Winklevoss twins in "The Social Network!" Gearing up to see CMBYN a fourth time next week!!! TruHart1
  12. A word of advice: Remember, it's best to let these fruits you plan to f**k warm up to room temperature prior to insertion! I speak from experience! LATER!!! LOL! TruHart1
  13. Exactly, @jaytin0. Having caught Trevor & Chris' commentaries on TAR 30 myself (comments on the legs which have already been televised only) on WellStrung's Youtube channel, they have made it clear that one of them is single and the other has a boyfriend he is dating, and that they are not a couple. Chris and Trevor are certainly one of the hottest male teams to ever run The Amazing Race IMO! Reichen Lehmkuhl and Chip Arndt were the winners of TAR season 4. They were married to each other and always referred to on the race as husbands. Unfortunately, they split soon after that season and last I read Chip was happily remarried to a man who was not as self-centered as Reichen, who has tried again and again to start an acting career. Reichen was also in the cast of the reality show A-list New York a few years ago. The other gay couple who won the race on TAR 21 were Josh Kilmer-Purcell and Brent Ridge, a team of Goat Farmers. Prior to their race appearance, they had a reality show on the Discovery channel, "The Fabulous Beekman Boys" for two seasons, (cancelled in 2011) about their decision to start a goat farm in Sharon Springs, NY, with Josh commuting during the week to his business job in NYC while Brent (an MD) ran the farm. 14. Well, after all, aren't all "The Real Housewives" series on Bravo already satirical by their very nature? I have read that at times, producers even create confrontations and disagreements between the casts simply to drive ratings higher! That teaser for Gay Husbands made me think of those old reality shows, 'A-List New York' and 'A-List Dallas' which sometimes seemed like Real Housewives parodies but were populated with real gay men in those cities! [Edited to follow up: I just checked my streaming device and the REVRY streaming android app is available for free download on my device! I believe there is a monthly or yearly subscription fee.] TruHart1
  15. Howard Hughes (December [or September?] 24, 1905-April 5, 1976) Born into wealth from his father's invention of a patented two-cone roller bit, which allowed rotary drilling for petroleum in previously inaccessible places, he was an American business magnate, investor, record-setting pilot, film director, and philanthropist, known during his lifetime as one of the most financially successful individuals in the world. He famously dated many starlets after he moved from his native Texas to Hollywood at age 19 (in 1924, legally becoming emancipated at that age) to specifically break into motion pictures as a producer, at which he had great success, first in silent films and then in talkies. During certain periods of his life, some of his parties were purported to have turned into sexual orgies and there were even a few rumors that he may have been involved in a gay liaison or two during his lifetime, though that never was proven conclusively. http://areuserious.org/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/Howard-Hughes.jpg TruHart1

  19. I find the shy Iowa cub to be the cutest guy in the preview! Some of the other husbands' attitudes are just too over the top! What in the world is Revry TV? TruHart1
  20. It is very true, @HotWhiteThirties, but this sort of connection to these particular escorts for me is still relatively rare, thus making these guys even more special! TruHart1

  23. I've actually suggested that need for new pictures to @AresEscortNYC, but he has basically told me that most of his clients come to him by word of mouth from very satisfied clients (like me!) who are his regulars and it makes it easier for him, with his busy real life, to trust those client recommendations so he doesn't have to expend lots of time for checking out or vetting new clients. He has quite a few regular clients he's accrued over his long career as an escort and his real life concerns do keep him quite busy, so if it works well enough for him, I can't argue with him about his ad pictures. 24. The ever insightful @GLEE knows my respectful enthrallment with AresApollo so well! After all, I recommended Ares to @GLEE as one of the best escorts available, and it seems Ares satisfied @GLEE fully! Ares (@AresEscortNYC) was my very first escort experience almost seven years ago and he introduced me to the truly amazing wonders of being with a man who not only knew how to sexually satisfy, but who made me feel desired, intelligent and so very special! Since that first tentative hour when I saw him back in May of 2011 in NYC, I have never failed to meet with him each and every time I visit New York! Our times together just get better every time. He is the BFE I compare to every other escort since that amazing first session AresApollo and I had! TruHart1
  25. I hired him a few years ago a couple of times. He was quite the attractive DILF for me, well endowed, smooth and nicely muscular, like an AMG model grown more mature. He had fascinating stories he shared about his youth, when he modeled and had a few 'famous' men interested in him. Though I do like the guy, and he travels through my city on a regular basis, he hasn't remained one of my regulars. TruHart1
