Raleigh goes through boom and bust cycles on escorts, however.  A few years ago it was booming and now the selection is slim, for me at least.  I've have flown guys in occasionally when visiting Raleigh and they always seem to do great business (in addition to mine).

I've been watching Scott Cheap Flights https://scottscheapflights.com/.  There have been some real deals on international flights lately, now extending into next fall.  I've taken advantage of a couple - omicron willing.

Regarding escalating prices, I'm planning some travel and contacting interesting guys in the cities I'm visiting.  Prices are up.  For example, Raleigh prices ran $200 an hour in early 2000, but the couple of guys I've contacted are asking $275 - $300.  In Atlanta, $300 seems to be the going rate where $225 - $250 seemed to be the pre-COVID norm.

The situation has always been a bit sparse in South Africa. You are more likely to meet guys the old fashioned way, in bars and gyms.  I've haven't ventured onto the Grindr scene although I have a friend who met a university student in Johannesburg and reported a very good time.

They are at terminal 3 and 5.  We were through the process in 20 minutes and on our way.  The Terminal 3 site is steps away from where you exit the Tube at the T2/3 stop (above ground).  I know at least one person who took the tube back out to Heathrow for the day 2 test on day 2, then back to the city.  Given the price of the express train from Paddington, he'd have done better to visit one of the clinics in the city or pick up a home test at one of the distribution sites.

It does scare me that Delta's answer to "what if you test positive" is "You don't fly". hoo-boy would i hate to be in that situation. And many people have long-term symptomless covid and don't know it. 

You have to have the COVID test within 48 hours of arrival and you can get it at Heathrow.  We used ExpressTest which has test sites at Terminal 3 and Terminal 5 for international arrivals.  The PCR runs £70, but the other tests are cheaper.  You must schedule in advance.  There are several places where you can pick up the test at home kit.  Those are on the UK.gov website.  Much cheaper - free at many sites - and accepted by the UK gov, but not for flying back to the US.  New rules go into effect 08 Nov but that piece is not expected to change yet.

I'm shocked by the lack of masks on the Tube so I've been using a lot of cabs/Ubers.  Overall it's frightening how few people are wearing masks.
