  1. The Shucked number was the very definition of ten pounds of shit in a three pound sack.
  2. This is wise fucking advice (literally and figuratively). Regularly scheduled 10-panel STD testing and throat/ass swabs should become your norm if you're very sexually active and not always playing using PrEP and condoms. If you can swing it, every 30-45 days. Better you know immediately.
  3. Yeah... Going for cheap sex tourism in Rio is a fantastic idea right now. Sadly, this story seems to be being told more frequently. It's as if we don't expect pretty desperate people to do desperate things. While I love Rio and have been many, many times, it's a city I wouldn't currently visit based on feeling the need to constantly look over my shoulder. That's not a holiday for me. Last time I was there- about 4 months ago- I stayed at the Palace and watched three separate tourists get robbed over the course of a few days. Always mid-afternoon and right in front of the hotel. In all of my visits, I'd never felt Rio was as 'lawless' as it felt this time.
  4. As per usual, correlation is not causation. The US also spends more on defense than the next 10 countries down the list, yet that doesn't truly make us any more safe. Throwing gobs of money at a problem only works with some things: I wish I could say what the immediate solution to lower life expectancy is, but tbh, it's really a slurry of existing generational/systemic issues combined with a difficult healthcare system.
  5. Holy shit, you're barking up the wrong tree.
  6. Two hours is still not a ton of time. I'm sure you'll be fine.
  7. You mean Snozzberry. 😀
  8. Blame LVMH. They tack-up everything they touch. Luckily, they haven't ruined Rimowa luggage... Yet.
  9. I thought it was entertaining. Not as 'scary' or jarring as The Pillowman, but not a bad show either. I'll give any show with Laurie Metcalf a shot... She's super talented.
  10. Good ol' fashioned Facetune. The sharpness of the face vs the rest of the image is a dead giveaway.
  11. Like I do, you ignore the message and then block them from contacting you further. Problem solved 👍 A real troll starves to death when they don't get the attention that they crave.
  12. Although loaded with sugar, I'm a fan of Hong Kong milk tea.
  13. Agreed about saving your sanity and booking a car from the city to Sayville. It's a small price to avoid a lot of bullshit. Fire Island is what gays have when they can't or won't afford the Hamptons or a shore house. For the price of a house share, I'd personally rather go to South America, Asia or Europe. That said, it's life in the gay bubble, which many enjoy and want. I'm not one of those people. My real issue with FI remains that many people who go don't cut the ultra-competitive Manhattan shit and just relax. There's always this underlying current of one upmanship that tends to ruin the vacation vibe fast. Sidenote: It's what I still like about Key West... Although it's a lot less gay than it used to be, the island is still very much an island. People don't give a shit about your money, cars, jets or vacation houses.
  14. You're anonymous, right? This person hasn't sent anything to your home address or made mention of knowing you personally? I wouldn't worry until you need to. The sky is not yet falling.
  15. She doesn't get it quite right. It's not 'tea' as in the drink, but 'T' as in 'the truth.' It's not always just about gossip. Ultimately, it's drag idiom that eventually made its way into mainstream lexicon. Shows like Drag Race have cemented a lot of that, so now we get to hear Midwestern housewives sounding like pageant girls.
  16. Vegas is still woefully behind when it comes to smoking. That whole city is just... Unhealthy.
  17. The term 'boys' or 'bois' is no longer a smart idea to use on this kind of public board. Be smart. Don't open yourself or management up to problems.
  18. It's as if you never noticed that new vehicles that were $7k in 1976 are now $40k+ Or, that gasoline was 75-85 cents a gallon through much of the '80s. Now $4/gal all-in seems cheap. No amount of hemming and hawing will stop prices- of anything- from increasing. That is the nature of economics and the simple ugly truth of inflation. You do always have a choice: Either play the game or get off the ferris wheel altogether. In your original post you turned the phrase average joes... But truth be told, most of this industry doesn't cater or function around those with minimal funds. This is a recreational activity for gentleman who have the discretionary income to purchase what they want, when they want it. That doesn't have to mean filthy rich, but certainly financially secure enough to not sweat the single hourly meet.
  19. This is the right advice. Don't be that guy. No one likes that guy.
  20. I think what's most telling/revealing in this thread are posters who are dictating what rates should be for another human being. How this rate is too much, period. That a cap for an escort should exist. Sorry kids... That's not going to happen. And as much as you don't like it, prices aren't backsliding down to when you did most of your hiring in the early-aughts. Time marches forward and so does cost of living. Like I said before, if it's too much, move on. Keep it simple. Don't show your hand and make it personal. That's a classic ham-and-egger move.
  21. Tall people don't waste more fuel and effect overall weight & balance... Overweight people do. That's the bottom line when flying in smaller aircraft or helicopters. However, larger people who can't fit into one seat in commercial aircraft should be required to purchase a second seat.
  22. I'd usually agree, but seeing as this board is now the de facto place for clients to come and chew the fat, I think that letting people complain is probably the best course of action. It's just human nature. While it won't actually do or change anything in the industry, posting this is, symbolically, a way to clear someone's own personal blockages... At least for a little while. People just want to be heard. Even if it's in an echo chamber.
  23. Late to the reply game on this one, but I agree 100%. The show is unreal (literally, but beautifully done). I figured it would look fake, but seeing is believing: The avatars were scarily lifelike. The audience buys in totally. I saw the show in December. Would also recommend springing for the VIP experience pre-show.
