I would agree with this sentiment. When in Rome, as it goes. As a traveler, you cannot always expect the world to cater to you. It's that lost in translation quirkiness that can create some of the best memories... If you give it the chance. Always remember, there's more to life than the comfortable little bubble you've created for yourself.

People are murdered in any larger city on a daily basis. I'm sure the drug thing didn't help. I don't see the specific issue. Chicago, LA, Houston, NYC and Miami all have the same issues. And if we're playing per capita numbers, a much more dangerous percentage of murders. I just don't buy into the 'everything in MX is dangerous' ideology. Don't play stupid games and you won't win stupid prizes.

I have been to Africa multiple times, as recently as October (Kenya). I've never felt problems with being gay. I went with another man, we shared a king bed, no one seemed to mind.

I've done Antarctica multiple times on Viking's expedition ships. Flying in is mostly reserved for contractors and military. I'll never forget how insane the swells were in the Drake Passage.

I don't do xmas cards anymore, but I still have several good boxes of custom stationary. It's old school, but I love it.

This is the only boots-on-the-ground, correct reply here. The Middle East can be fascinating and a lot of fun if you're smart, savvy and alert. I have zero understanding of people who have never been somewhere but are convinced they shouldn't go based on hearsay.

Favorite NYC Hotels for Hiring

If a gentleman is your guest and with you for the evening, Aman will have no issue letting you both in the bar. The Peninsula in NYC also just completed a redo and the rooms now thankfully look modern. Great, walkable to much, location. Baccarat started off strong, on many top 10 lists that year, but has trailed off. For the nightly rate, I expected better service. The design is a little... Much. It reminds me a lot of what Elysian Chicago was doing when they first opened (but later toned way down). It might be fun if it felt whimsical, but the vibe is way too stuffy for that. Now, if you want whimsical, fun, great service and unique spaces, stay at a Firmdale/Kit Kemp hotel. -

High-end means different things to different people. For me, the best hotel in the city is currently the new Aman NYC. It's beautiful, quiet and feels miles away from Manhattan while having midtown just outside your front door. The Ritz-Carlton on the park is always solid. Towers at The Palace is done with their refurb. It's not a sexy hotel, but it's an icon for good reason. Mandarin Oriental at Columbus Circle. Still a solid choice. If you're willing to venture past midtown, you can't forget about The Carlyle. -
For the love of god, can we not keep this ziploc bag closed.

As a top, seeing a bottom cum without touching himself is like catnip. It's also the ultimate unspoken compliment. I had a client do this just a couple of nights ago. Admittedly, I was surreptitiously positioning him so I was hitting his prostate like a Staples 'that was easy' button.

I don't usually use Mr Number, but this review is scathing. You can be truthfully critical without hitting below the belt. Personality is everything with me: If a would-be client was known for being a shithead or overly difficult, they would be quietly removed from consideration. I dealt with a lot of that early on and now I thankfully have the freedom to say 'no thanks' when I want to.

Hiring an escort to meet out in public?
+ BenjaminNicholas replied to Starlight77's topic in Questions About Hiring
You're using a strawman now. Much of the judgement exhibited on this thread was not judgement for safety sake. It was just mean girl shit. That was the social judgement that has no place here. People know when they're being assholes. -

I agree. This is the last place someone should judge you. But we have a contingent of people here who use the anonymous nature of this board to make themselves feel important by shitting on others. You do you. It's your time, your money. If it makes you happy, it can't be that bad. -

Equinox Hotel at Hudson Yards is new, sleek and very sexy. Great beds. Beautiful rooms and suites. The Ludlow on the LES. Great vibe, great bar downstairs. Smaller suites, but in the middle of a street/neighborhood with amazing energy. Casa Cipriani. While not a hopping neighborhood (FiDi), the suites have balconies with great river views. Service is bueno. Hotel on Rivington, LES. They're still redoing some of the rooms, but for massive suites, great beds and a mostly glass room, it's got the sex appeal and vibe for getting frisky. I've had a lot of fun sex in their terrace suite, owners suite and penthouse. -
Do escorts review clients?

If you take anything people say as the truth without first thinking it might be satire, that's quite interesting. -

This is a classic dumb as fuck move. If your fledgling ego is so small that you'd need to pull this, the problem is you, not them. -

It's satire. And it's brilliant. It was as easy as checking to see if the site pulls up. -
I'm aware of the intended pun, but the comparison of the word gimmick to all-black cast is something that should have died when David Merrick was doing it in the late '60s with Hello Dolly.

You're asking for rules in a highly unregulated industry. That's not the way this usually works. The boards and blacklists are by-invite only. Not meant for clients and not open to them. -
Christmas Spectacular at Radio City
+ BenjaminNicholas replied to foxy's topic in Live Theater & Broadway
RCMH is beautiful. Always a lot of fun seeing it. But the audiences at the Rockette shows... Not so much fun. Between people talking, children yelling and people eating, it's like being at a flea market. -
It's not really a 'gimmick' if it's done well. Chicago's Porchlight Theater did a production of it several years back with Faye Butler and it was incredible. As for Audra: This vocally might not be her role, I'd agree, but there's no doubting her acting skills. Tyne Daly was no great singer when she did a Gypsy revival, but her acting was what made it memorable.
