  1. Property investment often embodies a favorite phrase of mine, 'No guts, no glory' It also reminds me of stories that clients have told me about near-successes that slipped away because of being too risk averse. One of them is declining stock as payment in a very young tech company owned by Michael Dell. Dell couldn't afford to pay out a lot of liquid cash at the time and it would have made my client millions and millions of dollars. Thankfully, he jokes about it now
  2. I see what you did there.
  3. Let's simply agree to disagree. It's not really worth mincing over and frankly, I'd rather get back to listening to Christine Ebersole sing songs from that horrible Grey Gardens musical. ?
  4. I'm curious... What neighborhood? SA proper isn't the investment holy grail it was a decade ago. If it were me, I'd look at San Antonio's bedroom communities: Canyon Lake, New Braunfels, Boerne, Fredericksburg, Wimberly, Fair Oaks Ranch, Kerrville, etc.
  5. These are common in Vermont (and the NE). There's an actual term for them: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Witch_window It's an interesting architectural holdout.
  6. Released for streaming instead of in-theater, this is a fun dark comedy/heist/gangster flick. Highly implausible and the writing gets a little lazy towards the end, but it's an easy watch. Sidenote: I've liked Rosamund Pike since Gone Girl. While the film was entertaining, if you can read the book, it's really superb storytelling.
  7. On the flipside, if only ONE person is telling you that, you can tell them to go fuck themselves
  8. Even RentMen has had their own share of problems with not-legit reviews and general trustworthiness. Not to say 'don't trust anyone,' but I'd suggest guys do the best job possible of always reading between the lines.
  9. It's a GREAT show. Whip-smart and very entertaining if you have a cast that can handle it.
  10. No, I used the correct term for my basis of the film. Closeted men, secret love, wife struggles with knowing the truth, tragic ending. A tale as old as time.
  11. Frankly, I prefer NBS to The Sound of Music
  12. Singapore, no. Not unless he's a citizen who's coming back. Miami, Chicago and SF, it's possible with negative papers coming and going. Sydney, only if he's a citizen. Toronto, if you quarantine for 14 days AND have negative papers. It's not suspicious... It's just bullshit

  14. He offered you nothing, which could also mean he's not interested in this kind of monetization. Perhaps the way you lowballed it, you offended him and he's written you off. I know I would have. ... And for the record, calling us 'scorts' sounds silly.
  15. Breeders? C'mon. Without those breeders, you wouldn't be here. Don't be a schmuck.
  16. Escorts aren't their target. They don't care about us as long as we pay our due. Drugs, laundering, etc... Those are targets. As others have said here, this is bigger than escorting. This guy probably had his hand in multiple cookie jars.
  17. Because the IRS doesn't go after people in this way for just standard underreporting: They give taxpayers MULTIPLE chances to clean things up, even though it usually involves penalties and long-term repayment programs. I bet this guy ignored every letter he got. He probably also actively moved money from accounts he knew would be compromised to new or foreign accounts. That will piss the IRS off very, very quickly. Like others here have said, they don't care how you make it, they just want their piece. It's really pretty simple.
  18. Fool me once... Shame on you. Fool me twice... Shame on me. This thread goes from informative to sad when guys throw their money and time out the window on these charades.
  19. This thread reminds me that there's nothing hotter than when a guy asks me to blow my load on his feet
  20. Coming from someone who's had clients buy him gifts, it's really just smarter to get him a gift card (or a cash tip). Unless you're buying the clothing for yourself to see him wear, it's easier on the guy to let him do his own shopping without you having to wonder if what you bought him is really something he'd like. I've gotten some seriously expensive gifts that end up on a closet shelf or in a lockbox. The thought is always appreciated, but unless you know someone very, very well, buying them personal items is tough.
  21. They don't invite the talent to the table... They keep them in hotel rooms and under wraps. With the amount of media that's there, for both sides, it would be unwise to flaunt.
  22. Many of the CPAC guys bring in their own company, especially if they're the major speakers or headline talent. They don't mess with the strings that can come with hiring randos from listing sites.
  23. :Shameless Plug Alert: I just wrote about PP on the latest 15MM: http://15minutesmore.com/blog/2021/01/2757.html Survey says: It was loads of fun.
  24. Perhaps his copy was a quiet tribute to the recent passing of Ferlinghetti? ?
