  1. I visited a Vancouver branch office of our company about 10 years ago. I was there for about a week, I loved the city.
  2. Oh, Queens as in the borough. I was looking through the post trying to find out his connection to Freddie Mercury.
  3. I'm in bed by 10:00 because I'm up at 6:00 for work, but I'm definitely not at my best in the morning. When my sister & family stayed with my and my 7-year-old nephew was bouncing around chattering at breakfast, I told him mornings were quiet times at my house. He settled down, and my sister said in amazement "That never works at home!"
  4. I lurked for a long time before posting. Actually, I just focused on the Gallery before I realized how much information there was to be had in the rest of the forum. Doing that, I got a feel for how to search for information before posting questions, how to ask questions in ways that encouraged responses, and I already took some care to write sensibly.
  5. @Gar1eth - you remind me of two memories from grade school. Fourth grade or so (so about 9 years old), the teacher was reading us a book and the story referred to a bird called a 'titfinch'. One kid couldn't stop giggling every time the teacher read that, and she finally grilled him as make him say what was so funny. He never did answer, as I recall. We didn't read The Red Badge of Courage, but watched a movie of it (I've also never seen that movie since). I overheard two of the teachers talking about one of the soldiers at the very end of the movie, something akin to "I'd do him" but more delicately put. I doubt they knew I was listening.
  6. I've communicated with him but not met him, he had listed a trip to Detroit a few weeks ago but the dates in his ad kept changing, I'm not sure if he ever made it here. He's now listed as in Chicago but Detroit as a travel city, and going to LA for a couple weeks. I would still be interested in meeting up with him if he makes it out here.
  7. And this is the first time I've noticed the gay undertones in Bob Balaban & Ryan Phillipe's relationship, when Bob asks Ryan "Will I see you tonight?" on the night Ryan's taking the "warm milk" to Kristin Scott Thomas's room.
  8. I've heard that referred to as "porcelain" skin tone.
  9. Count me in. From being able to drink at 19 by crossing the river to Windsor, to the fully nude dancers at the now-defunct Happy Tap in the same city, I'm an unabashed Canadaphile.
  10. I watched Gosford Park yesterday for the umpteenth time and I never noticed that detail. Written by Julian Fellowes, who'd go on to create Downton Abbey.
  11. We're going through this with my father. He totalled his car earlier this year and we started the process to have him re-evaluated. He cancelled the cognitive test scheduled with his doctor, and on his first try with the state, he failed the written test so they revoked his license without even doing the driving test. He can take the test again, I'm not sure how many times he's allowed to do that. He's determined to get his driving privileges back, and we're scared both for him and for other drivers.
  12. No fair, I've seen this movie. One of my favorites, "Sailor in the Wild", from about 1983 or so?
  13. It's what kept me pet-less for a long time. Then I got a dog when I had a roommate and we were both there to take care of her. Now that he's moved on, I'm a single dog dad, and it's difficult scheduling at times. I go out a lot less, I don't stay out as long when I do go out, and I travel less, or find someplace where I can bring her along. My life's changed and I wouldn't go back to not having my girl for anything.
  14. I waited years for him to come to Detroit, but it was worth the wait. :-)
  15. Similar to when Tina Fey & Amy Poehler hosted the Oscars, and said "There are plenty of parts for older actresses named Meryl Streep". Last night Masterpiece re-ran the first episode of Downton Abbey, I didn't realize the famous "What is a weekend" line was in that first episode.
  16. I still have, someplace, an article from some magazine in the early 80's titled "How to Drive". Very much the same tone. One phrase I remember is "people who don't share your view of the non-linear nature of space and time, otherwise expressed as 'People Just Drive Too Damned Fast Today'.
  17. A friend hated "Chasing Amy" on those grounds: "it's what every straight guy thinks about lesbians, that they just haven't met the right man". For the record, I am indifferent to lesbian scenes; the girls in bed on Queer As Folk was always my cue to refresh my drink.
  18. @tristanbaldwin what are you holding in that picture? It looks for all the world like one of the parts of my juicer.
  19. In general, naked's allowed, naked & hard is not. In specific, TB should have the final word. But I know which way I'd vote :-)
  20. it's always been my understanding that it applies only to meetings with masseurs or escorts. On the other hand, if you post Thursday morning who got voted off Survivor Wednesday night, be prepared for some grief. :-)
  21. https://www.masseurfinder.com/massage-therapists/35501/ Nothing coming up with google searches
  22. If you're submitting a review at daddysreviews.com I think there's a time limit. IMHO it's fine to post here in the forum about past experiences as long as 1) they don't cross the line into a review, and 2) if you identify that it's an older experience. Lots of guys post asking for recent experiences with so-and-so, but it's not universal. I can think of a handful of times where someone's asked for feedback on a escort that I've met years ago, and I've given it.

  24. They planted new trees in the park near my house, the sign on one of the saplings says it's called "Golden Rain".
  25. Is this the other guy you're asking about? https://rent.men/AlexVoss
