Possible, I suppose because few others professions were open to women back then. Mostly agree with @bostonman. I saw several Boston out of town tryouts of Broadway musicals , including "I Can Get It Wholesale," On a Clear Day I can See Forever," "Funny Girl." "Subways are for Sleeping," "Tovarich." I vaguely knew the songs were often wonderful, but that is it.

My take after reading every post: perhaps many people want the answer from you directly. I understand all the possible problems for you in answering the question on the phone. But you are providing a personal interaction if all goes well.
