As others have stated, both the cost and duration of overnights are all over the place. I used to hire mostly for overnights and weekends, and when I was doing that I adopted a few personal guidelines. Duration: Typically start with dinner and end after breakfast.. about 12 hours, of which about 7-8 of those are going to be nothing but actually sleeping. An 8 hour overnight makes no sense if 7 of those will be spent sleeping! Price: No more than 3.5X their hourly rate. I wouldn't even consider anyone for anything other than a 1 hour hire who's rate exceeds $300 (again just a personal rule). Caveat: Do not hire someone for an overnight who you have never met before. It can get really awkward after that first 30 minutes when you both realize you have nothing in common (or worse... can't stand each other)!

You may be right and I don't like things that smell like fish in generalo_O, but, if I were in that area I would have hired him 5 minutes after that ad was posted (and left immediately if fake). If real, having my baby wouldn't be a deal breaker;). That pic in the glasses is way nerdishly cute and he is SO my type physically. Plus the guy actually smiles in his ad!

Putting a tip in a pocket can be policy and not theft depending on the casino. Some casinos do have the dealers put tips in the shirt pocket (never below the apron, pants pockets) and dump them into a designated tip area before they exit the pit (i.e. break or end of shift). Some casinos (back in the day) did keep their own tips although that is most uncommon now due to IRS strong-arming the casinos. Also, dealers absolutely can not ask for tips as policy, and counseling, warnings, and even termination can occur if they do. It is understandable, however, that minimum wage employees who rely on tips for the bulk of their salary can get frazzled when people do not tip. An occasional dollar can change the whole mood for a dealer who has been stiffed all day long. You are also absolutely right that their is no excuse not to show appreciation for even a small gratuity.

I'm not so great at reading between the lines, and I definitely do not feel comfortable having this conversation with an escort I have not met for both our safety (on what or what he is not willing to do on a hire). The scary thing for United right now (besides the obvious bad press and PR disaster) is how hard and what kind of legs the boycott threat from China has. Apparently there is a boycott effort underway and people were cutting up their United Credit Cards already. Some stories are spreading that the passenger was singled out because he was Asian. Again it is all about perception, not about truth in the PR game. Time will see if anyone buys the "real" apology or how fast this blows over and we are on to the next scandal.
