  1. Sailing the Greek Coast/Islands was very high on my “bucket list”. When a friend called looking for a guest to fill in on a cancellation I jumped at it. The extra week after is just me alone…will see what I decide!
  2. Yes you did mention Folegendros and it’s on my short list. I’m also leaning toward Santorini…the party/drinking that I hear Mykonos has turned into is not my crowd.
  3. I posted previously that I’m traveling to Greece in September. Greece travel 3 days in Athens, then a week with friends on a charter sailboat, then a week on my own. So the topic question…where should I head for the week on my own. Mykonos vs. Santorini are my two main choices. I could head back to the mainland and go wherever? Any suggestions or thoughts?
  4. This is the mixed plank pattern I choose, my wood choice is slightly darker than the picture. I’m doing 4 1/2” baseboards, painted.
  5. Looks interesting, I’d consider trying it.
  6. I just signed a bid for for re-flooring my entire living room, den, kitchen, powder room, and foyer (all downstairs) and staircase going upstairs in engineered wood. I chose a product with a 22 year guarantee and a veneer thickness that could (allegedly) be sanded and refinished twice. I went with a natural hickory color. There is a pattern of 3 different size/width of the flooring pieces, I didn’t want long continuous planks. I’m very excited, but stressing about the packing up and prep. FYI my bid includes moving the furniture, but not any packing up.
  7. Although there is one negative comment posted above, I would scroll through his 41 5-star reviews on RentMen.
  8. Well after keeping in communication thr last few weeks, Our scheduled meshed in L.A. and we met. He’s the real deal, recommended. He’s in SoCal this week.
  9. This behavior does seem to have increased lately. But…I’ve experienced it also frequently from providers, it’s a two way street. Twice in the last few weeks two different providers both said “sorry, was getting ready for you and didn’t realize how bad my stomach ache was…”.
  10. I used to fly PSA from Los Angeles/San Francisco frequently. I smoked then, you’d just go about halfway through the plane and there were cards above a group of rows stating “smoking section” or something like that. Also back then, no TSA, I had book of tickets for my SFO/LAX fare, used to step on plane like a bus (if seats available) and flight attendant would collect from my ticket book.
  11. I was at the London American Express office picking up my mail (who is old enough to remember picking up your mail at an AMEX office?). There were headlines in huge bold print on the front page of the papers announcing Nixon’s resignation.
  12. 3 bottles of some fairly decent California wine that I was taking on a trip to Mexico. TSA was fairly new and I completely forgot about the liquids prohibitions. Proceeded to my Alaska Airlines gate, and found my first cousin working as gate agent. Told her my tail of woe, later in the day she reclaimed my three bottles from TSA on her way home from work!
  13. Moderator note: let’s keep this thread on the topic of meeting internet friends. Not a shopping discussion.
  14. There’s lots of discussion of him as an escort here on the forum if you search a bit. The masseur gig is new for him, I believe…
  15. Happy Easter…I hope everyone noticed the site’s tribute to Easter Bunnies? Thanks @RadioRob
  16. Happy Birthday, @Jamie21 🎂🎉
  17. I forgot to mention I’m on Medicare with a supplemental Rx plan. Before I turned 65 ( barely a year ago) my Truvada was essentially free, with Gilead program covering $50 co-pay. That program doesn’t apply to government insurance programs, so when I went on Medicare that co-pay program stopped. I’m content with my current plan and accept the fact it takes me 3-4 months to hit my annual deductible then everything is very inexpensive.
  18. Plus one…I just enjoy the process of cooking too much. But i’m following the thread as my siblings and I are looking for options like these for our 90+ year old parents.
  19. Tan lines make me weak…
  20. Yes I always prefer it with someone new. If I’m at a hotel - even just a few minutes in the lobby. Before someone comes to my home, there is usually some sort of coffee/lunch first. @glutes was it you or someone else who coined “Peets & Greet”, appropriate shorthand for a coffee date. Edited to “greet”😉
  21. Some may use the providers preferences/activities and filter out some ads, even before perusing pics/ads.
  22. This!
  23. Elite’s new S5 hottie, André Lamoglia:
  24. Name tags with both forum username and your real first name, if different. Lanyard style so still easy for those that prefer to shed clothing 😉
  25. Once my annual deductible kicks in, I think my generic Truvada is $3.07/month.
