Re: 24/7 surveillance video recording, it’s in more and more and more places, expanding surprisingly rapidly. And I look at as a positive as personal security for my sake.
I like meeting in hotel lobby (or casino) even if key card is not required.
I was recently staying at a funky hotel in Reno. No security guard at first floor, no elevator car keycard security. The elevator was for the convenience of casino patrons to get from street/lobby level to mezzanine, but continued up to rooms levels.
But that elevator stopped at the mezzanine level EVERY time. There was a 24/7 security guard at the mezzanine who wouldn’t let the elevator continue up to rooms level, or let mezzanine passengers in, until they showed room keycard. Was unusual setup. My UNR student friend and I walked right past security guard with a flash of my room keycard and no questions.
