Completely agree. From a technical perspective Xiao is the best of them all, Utopia and 27. And other than Xiao, I can’t say that I’ve received a superior tech massage from anyone I’ve had at either place. But I haven’t tried everyone. Yet, I would (and will) happily repeat almost everyone. If I had to choose one, it would be Simon at Utopia.

My experience at 27 has been overall positive. But as I commented in the SPAS IN NYC thread, I’ve yet to have a technically A+ massage. There remain more guys to try. The most recent posts on new totally untrained guys are worrisome, so check here first and buyer beware.

Curious thread... as pretty much a bottom price feeder when it comes to choosing a masseur, I typically tip non-spa guys 20% if they are under $130. Above that, I don’t typically tip, or just round up to the nearest 20 unless it’s really amazing and beyond what was advertised.

27th between 6th and 7th Aves. Have to look past the seedy 3rd floor walk up, AND do not accidentally walk into the spa on the 2nd floor. I barely got out of there without having my clothes ripped off of me by the Asian ladies working there. I’ve never had a bad experience there. So far have had Ben, Ryan and Chris. Next up is either Robin or Constantine. And for the record, none so far have been “Grade A” technical massages. Chris is drop dead gorgeous IMHO.

My guess is that these 3 guys on RM are all one and the same. If you search Lucas below, he admits to not using real pics but is reported to look just fine and give a reasonably good experience. They’ve really cleaned the place up since taking over from SunnyBoy. The rooms in the new section are fully private, spacious and nicely appointed. And the guys are all nicely appointed as well. Ben is doing a fine job managing. For me, the table shower is much more comfortable than Utopia’s.

Treated myself to a 2 hour massage - table shower combo with Chris at 27 Spa. Yalza, that’s how to get a weekend off to an amazing start. Great on every level.

Yes, I had the exact same experience recently. It was a whole new experience having a massage not anticipating the sensual and HE component. Quite enjoyed it.
