Surprised not to find any mention of this on CoM. Terribly flawed and incomplete Japanese film adaptation of the BL manga (Boys’ Love) on Netflix revolving around Ballroom competition specifically between a Latin dancer and Standard dancer. Should have been made into a series, though there will likely be a second movie. But for all of the mess it was, there were some lush moments… beautiful, sexy and kept me watching. The 2 lead actors had zero dance background. I think they did a reasonably nice job in spite of the horrible writing. Mods: not sure if this belongs here or under movies, as it’s streaming on Netflix.

I’ll give Babs a break, even though she could have glammed it up a bit more. But agree the whole show was a snooze and I too just didn’t care for this year’s crop of Oscar movie contenders. Yeh, probably is. The RentMen ad has a South Florida area code # and the masseur ad is an LA area code. Also the RentMen ad name matches an IG account with the same pics and clearly not NYC based.

Indeed a lot of eye candy at Temple Hells Kitchen but sadly the steam and sauna are outside the locker room by the pool and are co-ed. Sauna at Astor Place Temple can get frisky on occasion. And the Temple Spa in Midtown East is really nice, but again, co-ed. I switched to Lifetime because it’s free with my AARP Medicare. Nothing happens at any of their clubs that I’ve seen. They even post signs discouraging nudity in the sauna and steam.

Whereas I’m more suspicious of the word “distinguished” which I interpret to mean “rich”!

Thanks for posting! Curious about “gentle giant”. What’s giant… his body, presence…? What was his demeanor like? I ran across him on this Sensual Arts site which a few months ago linked to his Instagram and X sites. His social posts were anything but gentle… him doing these let-loose dances and chants in the woods. I worried how this would translate to his massage sessions and never pursued further. Interestingly he seems to have deleted both his Instagram and X profiles.

Every decade or so I also find myself rereading the Mary Stewart Merlin series… The Crystal Cave, The Hollow Hills, and The Last Enchantment. These were the early books in my life that turned me into a voracious reader. Rereading is self rediscovery. At some point I’ll reread Ken Follett’s Kingsbridge series, though a major commitment!
