If you look at the pictures you see a wooden framed 7 storey structure with a brick facade. Very cheap construction for that time, the 1920’s. It was probably a walk up as well. You and others have talked about getting the bivalent vaccine recently. I got the latest Pfizer XBB.1.5 COVID vaccine on the same day Dec 5th. I got two earlier bivalent vaccines in June and last Dec, 2022. Others have pointed out here recently that getting the old vaccine is useless. So I don’t know if you are getting a useless shot or not. Maybe just using language loosely.

I stopped having Christmas trees years ago but they were always real ones. Grew up in a house where there were two trees each year, one in the living room where the presents would appear Christmas morning. It was always beside the fireplace so we knew that’s where Santa had come down the chimney. The other was in the basement rec room where we usually had family gatherings, again beside a fireplace but we knew that one was not a real fireplace and not hooked up to a chimney. This story reminds me of when I found an infant squirrel lying on a road near my cottage about 30 years ago. I didn’t even identify it as a squirrel it was so new. I am not a big fan of Hollywood movies and stopped watching them decades ago. But in 1970 I did go to movies and of course went to the film Love Story and bought the book as well. The movie was pretty faithful to the book and depicted the lead character, a rich Boston blueblood, perfectly with the young relatively unknown actor Ryan O'Neal, who had previously acted in a soap opera on TV. As a young man just starting to grapple with my sexual identity, I was intensely attracted to the character of a handsome jock hockey player at Harvard. I’ve taken the odd bad fall over the last few years and even though I suffered some bruises or sprains I did not break anything and recovered quickly. I attribute that to having consistently done a lot of walking in the last several decades and more recently a lot of swimming. In my middle years I did a lot of gym workouts. The reason it was doing this was because Covid cases were spiking and hospitals were feeling the pressure. With Xmas coming if people who were otherwise eligible got the shots, they would enter the holiday season in 3 weeks with added protection. Si I went to my pharmacy later yesterday and they hadn’t heard about it even though they had supplies and were doing people who had waited 6 months. They told me to come back today, which I did. And they gave me the shot, no questions asked. They had administered my last shot 5 and a half months ago.

Ontario just announced yesterday that those eligible to get the new formulated Vax could do so after 3 months from their previous shot. So I went into my pharmacy today and they did it without appointment. I otherwise would have had to wait till the the of the month. Covid is ramping up quickly here and I know people including in my own family who have come down with Covid in the last three weeks and been miserable. The hospitals are also filling up. Vax takeup tho is lagging. We’ll see where this goes. I still haven’t contracted it yet and now have seven shots. I’ll probably get it now. Lol.
