There was a profile of Laurie Metcalf a couple of weeks ago in The New Yorker and then a PBS Newshour interview with Nathan Lane and Ms. Metcalf earlier this week; after reading one and seeing the other, I would like to see it.

I am seeing posts on my Instagram feed too and some of them appear to be using older men; it's similar to posts I've seen for straight young people; I always hesitate to go to gay bars but this could be a better alternative; if someone goes to one, keep us posted, please

I watched "Only Good Things" last night; it takes place in rural Brazil and is about a young farmer, Antonio, who finds a motorcyclist, Marcelo, on the road after an accident. There are wonderful sex scenes and then it turns into a 40 year fast forward to their current lives together. I thought it was worthwhile. Here's a link to the trailer:

besides the Des Moines Art Center with buildings by Eliel Saarinen, I.M. Pei and Richard Meier, I had classes my freshman year at Drake in Meredith Hall designed by Mies van der Rohe; it would be fun to just walk around the Drake campus too. -

I note that Margareta Magnusson died on March 12; she is the author of "The Gentle Art of Swedish Death Cleaning" written in 2017; it is one of the few books that I have read twice; she recommended that you sort out photographs last and that you get rid of all but one of your dildos!
