Google search tells me: Someone is typically considered elderly at 65 years old, as this milestone marks eligibility for Medicare and Social Security benefits. However, definitions vary: the World Health Organization broadly classifies individuals 60 and older as seniors, while the AARP begins offering memberships at 50. Gerontologists and healthcare providers generally divide older age into three stages: Young-old: 65 to 74 years Middle-old: 75 to 84 years Old-old: 85 years and older Culturally and medically, "elderly" is subjective and often depends more on functionality, health, and independence than a specific chronological number. That last sentence, in my opinion, makes a lot of sense. Therefore, despite the number of birthdays I've had I AM NOT ELDERLY. 😀

Note: I looked this up & the initiative isn't real, but it still made me laugh. (And just imagine the treasure trove of photos they'd receive!)

History of reading: Tablets were replaced by scrolls. Scrolls were replaced by books. Today we scroll through books on tablets. 🤔

I've never read the novel but have seen the movie several times over the years. I took a chance & got tickets when the tour was in Tampa back in December. Your take on the songs is pretty much the same as mine; their main function seemed to be to move the story along. Stay Gold was my favorite, nothing else stuck with me afterward. I found the performances to be very good, the singing was good, the dancing was high energy and great to watch. The climactic fight scene dance during a storm was mesmerizing with great staging and choreography. The story followed the movie well, as far as I can remember. Overall, I'm glad I went, and the rest of the audience seemed to enjoy it. It was probably a one time show for me.

Don't remember seeing her in anything else, but I did enjoy Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman back in the day. I especially liked her friend Loretta, the aspiring singer. -
I had a good time. There were at least 16 dancers, performing nude on stage 2 at a time. A couple dancers didn't take it all off, but most did. When not on stage, the dancers roamed the room in various stages of undress (as well as various stages of excitement) to entertain and collect tips. There were body types for just about every taste, I think. Many appealed to me, but as a frequent customer at Johnsons I knew most of them already. It was good to see former bartender David back behind the bar for the night as well as former dancer Jordan who also served drinks. DJ Lucian was back to keep the music going. I wasn't crazy about the lap dance area, a room across the hall from the party room. There were no dividers, so all participants were in open view of everyone else. However, whether it was the alcohol I had consumed, the layout of the seating, or the hot Latino dancing nude up against me, I really didn't notice anything else in the world, um room while I was in there. Tickets were a little pricey, but there was ample free parking, and an open bar. Plus, as far as I know it's the only event in the state for gay men with nude male dancers. (Note: There were a few female customers in attendance, but less than at the first Obsidian event. No annoying behavior from any of them that I noticed.) I was there about 4 hours and had my personal limit of alcohol, so I didn't mind the price. There was a good-sized crowd, but due to the difference in layout from the previous Obsidian location it was hard to compare crowd sizes. Juan said the turnout was pretty close though. Hopefully there will be an Obsidian III.

Like at any other club, that all depends on how well you treat and tip the dancers. Enjoy your time there!

Just type the name Sepulveda in the search box at the top of the forums page. It will provide you with 2 pages of links with discussions about him. (Too many links to list here.)

Just got home from Sat. night at Johnsons. The club had a good crowd when I arrived just before midnight despite the lack of a/c downstairs. Upstairs was a little cooler but only a few customers & dancers were hanging out there. As I was leaving at 2:00 the crowd downstairs was even bigger. I noticed that the music volume upstairs was a lot lower than it used to be. The new DJs or the new manager must be responsible. Either way, I appreciate it because it's much easier to have conversations upstairs at the VIP bar. I had an enjoyable couple of hours at the club and I know a few dancers made a lot of money while I was there. (There may be a connection between those two things, I'll have to think about that tomorrow.) 😜

Just saw a character on episode 7 of the final season of The Boys wearing this shirt. It's for sale on Amazon if you're interested.
