  1. I actually didn't plan on watching the show after the first episode, in fact, I posted here that it would be one and done for me. However, I ended up watching the second, then the third, then kept watching. I agree the about the hammer. The lawyer was played by Karin Konoval, who also plays a doctor on the current TNT series "Snowpiercer".
  2. HBO Max is not available on every streaming device. It is available in the App Store on Apple and the equivalent Google Play store for Android for phones and tablets. Newer models of Samsung TVs can add it as well, but it may be difficult to find - I used the Bixby voice AI and asked it to find the HBO Max app, and it did. HBO recently added Roku devices and works with Amazon Fire and TIVO Stream devices. The Amazon Fire Stick is not that expensive and if you have an Amazon Prime account, very easy to set up. If you already have HBO, your login credentials for your TV provider will also work as your HBO Max login. Hope that was somewhat helpful.
  3. Summer job while in college working in the un-airconditioned laundry of a large state-run senior facility. The temperature was about 115 degrees by the dryers, which I loaded and unloaded. I also hated loading the urine-stained, fecal-material loaded sheets into the large industrial washing machines. Nearly everyone who worked there was at least in their 50's and had been working there for years so no one talked to me.
  4. Found this: "we learn that It’s a Sin will debut Thursday, February 18 on HBO Max, and get comfy on your couch because the series will premiere binge style with all five episodes dropping at once."
  5. Yes!!!
  6. Apparently the offender was a pharmacist who was subsequently fired by the hospital, and then arrested today. Name and motive were not released yet.
  7. I usually send out around 40 Christmas cards each year and will do so this year. I usually enclose a short note about significant happenings during the year (this year, not many) and a personal note to a few. Most of them go to relatives in other states and folks who have been important in my life.
  8. Maxwell Caulfield was in an off-broadway production of "My Night with Reg" and had a nude scene with an also nude Sam Trammell (True Blood). I was in the front row and I swear Sam was tumescent. Also, more recently, also off-broadway was "Afterglow" with three very fine young men naked most of the time.
  9. I watched the first episode of this show - it will be one and done for me. I found no reason to watch further.
  10. I watch Netflix while I'm on the treadmill so my choices are usually light, comedic series. I just started "House of Flowers" which is a Mexican telenovela that has everything from drag, strippers, infidelity, suicide, a trans character, marijuana, nosy neighbors, and a very cute gay son who claims to be bi and shows his his backside every now and then. And this is only by episode 6 of the three-season series. Each episode is only about 25 or 26 minutes long so I can generally get two episodes in while I'm on the treadmill each morning.
  11. I had noticed that it had been a while since he had posted, I did always enjoy what he had to say. I met him a few years ago at one of the Palm Springs get-togethers and we had a great conversation.
  12. I have been watching this as well - at first I asked, why am I watching this? - but then it hooked me. Maggie Cole reminds me of many people who just can't help themselves.
  13. I have only made it through episode 5, but you may want to check out episode 4, where the majority of the nudity in a couple of scenes is male.
  14. I do pay for print - a lot! Subscriptions include daily NY Times, Wall St. Journal, and my local daily newspaper, all print and digital, plus two digital-only subscriptions to two regional newspapers. I have experimented with reading the digital editions and then picking up the print edition. I always find I miss quite a bit with the digital version.
  15. I agree with Epigonos. In my experience, the agencies that used to exist, most gone now, worked quite well for both sides. (Perhaps you were thinking of Maximum as the NYC agency, Epigonos) I asked a hire from that agency why they used it and he said the agency took care of all of the advertising, rate setting, scheduling, and vetting of the client. He felt it worked very well for him, an aspiring actor.
  16. Bette was great! Totally political in nature and on the mark; basically a series of solo monologues which worked well given Covid constraints.
  17. Neither!
  18. Maybe the Matthew Camp fans know this, but he is featured in the 2013 movie "Geting Go, The Doc Project" on Prime Video. I noticed the movie was mentioned in the Comedy & Tragedy Forum, but that post didn't reference Camp as one of the leads.
  19. Sorry for reviving this thread from March, but I finally finished Toy Boy. I had guessed the identity of the actual murderer about half-way through. The men were attractive, but the strippers only stripped down to speedos which I found quite annoying. How dare they call themselves strippers? I counted three quick butt shots and a little side-breast from one of females over thirteen episodes, but that was about all there was for nudity, despite every episode carrying the nudity disclaimer. I had high hopes after making my way through three seasons of Elite, which I really enjoyed and which has been mentioned in other threads under this topic. This took me a while because I only allow myself to watch Netflix while on the treadmill and an hour a day is about all I can handle.
  20. I do know there was an extensive list of credits at the end of the live Zoom.
  21. Assuming it was set in Palm Springs was probably the major reason I was interested in watching this movie. Thanks for the heads up, probably a pass for me.
  22. Well, I watched it - I've concluded that play readings conducted as recorded Zoom meetings are not really my thing. I have seen some online Zoom-based performances (not readings) that were actually interesting. I also thought that the amount of growth shown by these characters in the time period between "The Boys in the Band" and this sequel was negligible.
  23. I, for one, actually enjoy the birthday wishes on Facebook. Somehow it lets me know that people I don't seen very often take a few moments and let me know they are thinking of me. Quite a few of my Facebook "friends" are extended family that I enjoy keeping in touch with and old friends I've made along the way. I also use Facebook to send birthday wishes to them when it is their turn.
  24. I took an early retirement offer over 10 years ago and haven't had a paycheck since then, living off savings and investments. My FICO has been consistent over that time. I use my credit cards, but pay them off in full prior to the payment due date. Some of the cards have fairly sizable credit limits which I never come close to using, since I always want to be able to pay the balance in full each month. This leads me to believe that the mere fact that one retires has little, if any bearing on the score.
  25. I have been watching quite a few series on Netflix and Hulu. My favorites so far are: Babylon Berlin (Netflix) - historical fiction, but I was totally taken in by the stories Upload (Prime Video) - mostly due to Robbie Amell Normal People (Hulu) this is a hetero story of young love, but I found the male lead, Paul Mescal, so damn attractive and he doesn't shy away from nudity.
