I have no idea who marylander1940 is, but I'm having trouble seeing a "troll" attempt in his simple, matter of fact question. A troll effort isn't that obvious to me, and it bothers me that a moderator would jump to this conclusion. (Maybe there is something I don't know.) Here lies the problem with judging words on a platform like this. I don't know the percentage, but I assume many people who hire sex workers do so in large part based on looks or type, and if porn star looks act as any litmus test, Mr. TxDaddyBear might have a difficult time getting hired by Falcon Studios. We can all agree that while there may be a market for TxDaddyBear, based on ads, he falls into less than 1% of types. Given what is obvious about ad offerings, is marylander1940's question really harmful in any way? Have any of you ever been to a marketing meeting at any corporation? These types of questions have to be asked if you want to keep your job. -

Free speech has always had an ugly side. When I consider the alternative, I wouldn't want it any other way. At least when someone behaves like a pathetic asshole, you know where that asshole stands. I prefer to know the naked truth about an individual. Then I know whom to ignore. I agree. Personally, I don't like rude incivility. I have experienced a little of that on this board. I choose to ignore it. There is so much valuable information here, and a lot of it is fun and funny. IMO, the positives far outweigh the negatives. No place is perfect. -

It sounds like you've never been to a social event with professional hairdressers and make-up artists. A fine line may exist between analyze and criticize, but who knows where that line is? Do people really need an invitation to critique aesthetics? Isn't damning a bad weather day a critique on aesthetics? I think of all the YouTube videos now where unknown people have become Joan Rivers playing fashion police at red carpet events. Critiquing aesthetics is an industry, and not just as it relates to fashion. Gay men are notorious for critiquing aesthetics. Women, too. So many work in creative jobs, it's second nature for them to critique. It can be a job requirement. I have been to so many game nights or Thanksgiving celebrations where most of the social conversation is critiquing aesthetics. So often, friends talking amongst friends will shoot the shit. I'm sure providers know exactly what I mean. Yes, it's slightly different from an online board experience like this because most of us are not friends. We're anonymous people writing to chat about sex workers. IMO, talking about the looks of a sex worker is no different than talking about the looks of our favorite actor, porn star, or our latest boyfriend. There may be a kinder way of sharing or expressing opinions, but holding them back would make life dull and boring. -

This is true only if your working name is known to members. Anonymity can protect your business, but you lose the PR opportunity. However, with the private message option, you can reach out to favorite members and possibly extend your truth to them. If you are good at what you do, and you don't play silly games with members, I could see an up-side to this private club style word of mouth. I would call this approach "professional." I would also call it mature and intelligent. Sadly, for many in the sex worker business, these words do not apply. -

I was trying to be less cynical. I agree, young people have plenty of time, but far too many have no interest in what grandpa says or does. I think the "text only" and "photo required" trend, especially with gay sex workers, is only going to get worse before it gets better. The texting generation can skirt by with a failing grade in English, and attractive providers who learn how to do OnlyFans can make millions without ever seeing or visiting with a customer. Times, they are a changing. As for the OP's question, moving forward, I imagine trying to get anyone to join a board like this will become less and less easy. -

You mean, obsessing over where a post should go isn't stressful enough? 😈 Moderating behavior? Have you ever tried that? Would you do it for free? If you start moderating what people write and how they write, in short time the board will be empty. Careful what you wish for. Most internet forums are archaic. Young people don't and won't participate. God forbid you try to get someone under 30 use to email anymore. Writing takes time, and nobody has time. That's why the HE fraudsters can do so well. I know from my former hairdresser partner that this question is a longtime conundrum in the intimate service industry. Is it appropriate to socialize with customers? He always said an emphatic no. My partner said it's OK to be friendly with a customer, but never assume they are your friend. Forums like these are social environments. Some people think it's easy to mix business with social pleasure. It's not. Some guys know how to navigate challenging waters. Others turn into gold fish when facing a shark. A review site, especially about sex, can't be a friendly place for providers by default. Who is good at accepting criticism? Do you know any actors who love their critics, and want to be social with them? Let's get real. I've discovered several new masseurs thanks to this forum. I have also learned more about escorting. I would hate for the candid review-speak to end. If there are smart providers who wish to use the forum to self-promote and socialize with customers, then I support that. But they have to know, or learn, what they can do and what they can't do. It's kind of like joining any social club. Human nature sets the rules. -
Discussion: Stop Slander:Rejected Clients Smearing Providers
d.anders replied to JacOB SESSION's topic in The Deli
With sex work, addiction is always the elephant in the room, isn't it? Client or provider. It seems to me, the line between sex and any other addiction is very thin. How is anyone supposed to know, until it reveals itself? PNP is an option in these ads for a reason. So many gay men love having sex when they are high. IMO, when Jacob wrote "I’m not a meth addict — not even close," it begs the question, how close with meth? A poor choice of words does not make someone an addict, but drug use is drug use, and a lot of customers don't want to engage with PNP players. If you do drugs or let clients do them while on a job, you open the door to everything that comes with drug use. Lies are at the top of the list.- 70 replies

I suspect this issue may be different for users in another country. Everything from my Prime account has ads, usually at the very beginning, but they are nowhere near as obnoxious as Hulu. HBO Max is also obnoxious, but not quite as bad as Hulu. Streaming companies are making a fortune off of these ads, and their making another fortune off the consumer who pays for the bare minimum service, which also comes with ads. With endless bad movies costing hundreds of millions of dollars, most failures at the box office, it's the consumers who end up paying for these insane budget failures. It's an incredible racket that sickens my stomach. It's going to get much worse before it gets better, I'm afraid.

Giving a great massage requires a lot of energy. Providing porn sex requires a ton of energy. I don't know how anyone can sustain both, while making a career out of it. I'm burned out just from reading about members sexual appetites.

The show is being hailed as "the gayest show on Broadway." How is this a gay board, and there isn't a solid thread on Titanique? I was taken recently, not knowing anything about it. I never heard of it. I was surprised to learn about its history. It debuted in Los Angeles in December 2017, and it seems to have been touring ever since. It's already been a hit Off Broadway. Three friends are the creators. Tye Blue directs, Marla Mindelle plays Celine Dion, and Constantine Rousouli plays Jack. All three are listed as producers. The show is extremely campy, with a very fun concept. Celine Dion shows up at the Titanic museum, and shares her side of the story (as if she was there), using her song catalogue to re-live James Cameron's famous movie. It is really something to behold. On Broadway, Frankie Grande (Ariana's gay brother) is playing Victor Garber, and the performance is delicious, especially if you enjoy a cute, petite, skinny twink. Jim Parsons (in quasi drag) is playing Ruth DeWitt Bukater, Rose's mother. And the fabulous Deborah Cox is playing Molly Brown. The incredible Layton Williams, who won the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role in the West End production, plays Tina Turner and the Iceberg. So funny. The audience are members of a cult. I haven't experienced energy like this since the early days of Rent. Multiple standing ovations. The Broadway run is a limited engagement, ending in July. Personally, I fell in love with Constantine Rousouli. So talented, and very sexy.

Thank you DMICS. I see that he has aged in the content. As his body has gotten larger, he's looking older. His face has changed a bit, but still good looking. Porn is my sex life now, and I'm really surprised I've never seen him before. How could anyone be surprised by his success? He looks like a pro athlete turned porn star. For a fun sex fantasy, I try to imagine what it might have been like to have him as a college roommate. He could smother my face with his sweaty groin, remain flaccid, and I'd still want to give him my savings account.

Sadly, we're living in an age when women being cunty to other women is considered entertainment. We'll know soon whether the box office holds up. I'm sure the movie will do fine on streaming, even if the reviews are awful.

I don't know much about gayforpay, but, recently I was introduced to HardTomXXX. I had never heard of him or seen his photos before. I instantly fell in love with his face. Then his body. And OMG, that cock. Soft or hard, it's a major thing of beauty. I did some research. He's got a ton of videos online. I couldn't believe it. He does almost nothing, except get hard and let lots of guys service him. He seems to have no problem getting hard, and he often smiles, which suggests he's got an easy sense of humor. He lets guys lick his pits, but no one stays there for very long. It made me wonder about his scent. He lets guys lick his ass, but again, those scenes don't last very long, and there isn't much ass-licking passion. I dug a little deeper, and I see he has an expired Rentmen page, with a London location. It made me wonder if anyone here has experience with him. I doubt I'll ever meet him. But talk about fulfilling that straight guy fantasy, this guy ticks so many boxes. For me, it starts with the face. Anyone know more?

What we look like - Why does it matter so much now?
d.anders replied to viewing ownly's topic in Questions About Hiring
I think compliments are OK, you just have to be careful with the wording. Maybe better to say "Hot pics," than "I think you're very handsome." -
It may be important to differentiate between TV viewing and using a Smart TV to view streaming services. This isn't the 1960's anymore. It has only been a few years where we can view Oscar nominated movies in the comfort of our homes, just weeks before the Oscar's. To me, quality of life often means having quality culture in your life. I have always loved the movies, well, visual storytelling to be more precise, and I designate the best of the best as quality culture.

Party pooper. 🙂 It's much more fun to come here and diss the rejection. Everyone needs a little therapy now and again. I was told this was a red flag. Telling a stranger that "he's very handsome" before meeting him implies you are not attractive. Of course the provider could be absolutely wrong, but red flags are still red flags. -
I doubt anyone is surprised that Netflix is raising their prices once again. I sincerely doubt the streaming wars are going to end up being beneficial to the consumer. I sure do miss the DVD-in-the-mail days, when you had easy access to all those wonderful special features at no extra cost. I think paying for a service that forces you to tolerate these endless ads is insane. It won't surprise me if YouTube goes this route. When it comes to ads, Hulu seems to be the greatest offender. It feels like there is a 2-minute ad every 5 minutes. Streaming seems headed for ad dominance, far worse than network television. If you don't want the ads, you better be rich. Those high monthly fees will ad up very fast. Amazon Prime has an endless catalogue of movies. Once you finish with the few good ones, there's an abundance of mediocre garbage to sift through. I guess this is true of most of the services today. These companies can't produce content fast enough, and fast content usually means shitty content. Can the marketplace accept what's coming? The only way to fight back is to end your subscription, and tell them it's because of the ads and the rising monthly cost. How many American couch potatoes are willing to do that? I may have to go back to reading books. A quality life involving a TV is difficult to find these days.

Sorry if that's true. I always do a search before posting, but who knows about this search feature. Nothing came up.

I finally saw it, just before my third free-trial expires. I hung in there. It's well crafted, but kind of slow going. Once again, it's a film about relationships. The father is a famous film director, while the one daughter is an anxiety-ridden stage actress. In many ways it's a beautiful film. Several critics said it was their best film of 2025. Would love to know what others thought.

In the early days, I think Studio 54 used to say "your outfit doesn't qualify." -
I'm not usually a fan of Will Arnett, but I thought he did a great job in this film. It's a slow-going film about relationships, so it probably isn't for everyone. I always enjoy Laura Dern. Andra Day was good, too. I like what Bradley Cooper did with this.

Very interesting movie. Hard to believe the formerly jailed director managed to stay out of jail while making this film in Iran without permits. I can see why many critics loved this movie.

I don't think it's legal to turn people away based on looks. I think keeping them on the line and not letting them in is a way to skirt the law.
