Not often. For the most part I look at this as a business not social hour for the provider. With that said, I have two that I am pretty close with. I have seen them both for almost 2 years and almost monthly. I met with Ty again today. Beforehand I talked with him about options for extras as I had only hired him for massage in the past. Hes a scammer. I admit my curiosity got the best of me and I reached out to him. The rates mentioned in this thread are what he gave me too. Knowing it was 90% I would lose the deposit, I sent him $50 to see where things would go. Once I told him the hotel I would host in, he backed off and said he couldn't meet in a hotel because he was recently robbed. He says he thought we were meeting at my house. So to get him to come he wanted a deposit of half the fee for the session upfront with me being a first timer. That's pretty much where I ended it and blocked him on RM, CashApp and WhatsApp. So accept my gift of checking it out and cross him off any lists.

I got an apology from mine also for even asking. There were several factors I considered when I lent him the money. One, every session he goes above and beyond, second he travels an hour and a half everytime we meet (its been almost 2 years since we first met and he was my first ever hire) and finally he is just a nice person... not an ounce of ego even though he is smoking hot. Not for a minute did I believe he would not be good for it, and if I was wrong then a hard lesson learned. He is still my number one guy.

I completely agree. I mentioned above I have a guy I met when I first started hiring and we see each other regularly. He had a personal situation come up and he needed a rather large sum of money. We talked, he did not really want to take it, but I lent it to him. Our agreement at that time was my next 3 sessions are paid for and he was good with it. It was a risk no doubt, but we had known each other well over a year and are very friendly with each other, so I rolled the dice. It all turned out fine and we continue to see each other. But for someone you never met to ask you for anything is just crazy. Again, just glad this came up before we met.

I have not been hiring that long (about a year and a half) but it has always been my personal policy to be kind and pleasant with the guys I hire and for the majority, that has been reciprocated by great times, providers willing to travel to me (I am a good hour and a half away from a major city) and repeat encounters. I consider myself very fortunate to have found 4 guys fairly local to me that are wonderful people, so there is no need to let a bad apple here and there spoil the party. I am just glad this incident happened prior to us meeting so I can just cross him off my list.

The one before was because he couldn't afford his hotel bill. This one irked me in particular because up to this point everything was very professional. I thought it took a lot of nerve. Specifically he asked for $35. I lent money to my best regular once because he had a car accident and was in a pinch to get a car. I trusted him since I knew him for a year and a half and it worked out fine. This guy has never even met me in person.

How often do you have providers hitting you up for money? Today was the third time I had a provider I have not yet met hit me up for money for general expenses. To me it is awfully ballsy to do this and earns them an instant block going forward. The part that gets me this time is this is an established local provider that has good reviews. I was having good dialogue with this guy and had a day to meet setup then I get a text today to confirm that meeting and ask for money. Am I overreacting about this?

When meeting a new provider, I think it is so great to not know the possibilities ahead of time. You can kind of figure some things out from pictures and how a profile is written. I never ask ahead of time, but if I think there is a possibility, maybe its a gentle touch when they are in front of you or how you react to something they did to you. For me, I really like the surprise and where things go. My favorite is when the masseur asks me if anything is off limits before they start. Then you know a good time is gonna happen!
