I think it’s highly unlikely that you would mistake a provider with a customer.

I have had the pleasure of meeting Blessings several times over the past few years.  I keep coming back to him.  The ease of setting up the appointment.  The comfort of his apartment, with spectacular views.  The genuine hospitality of a professional who puts his mind and his body into curating an exceptional experience.  While the past sessions have been geared towards sensual/erotic massages, I tried something new today.  
I requested grooming and a facial, followed by a therapeutic massage of shoulders and skull.  It was truly amazing. Blessings showed talents I have not seen from him before.  It was a virtuoso performance. 
What impressed me most is this - even when you have hired someone frequently and are happy with experiences, do we really know? Do we really know and understand that someone could have a huge talent that has been hidden?  Just by being open with him, I discovered ... so much.

I’m not sure renting an AirBnB with the idea of to bringing unknown people into a residential building is a good idea.  Just imagine how the people who live there full-time will feel about that.  I have a vacation apartment in a building that now forbids AirBnB, but there were two operating before the rules changed & they were grandfathered-in.  The AirBnB renters are always obvious & everyone knows exactly what they’re doing. If sex-tourism was involved with strangers coming & going at hours - they would be asked to leave immediately. There’s nothing wrong with whatever you want to do - just be realistic about where you’re choosing to do it.  
Check the details too as many AirBnBs forbid any guests that aren’t registered upon check-in with proper ID.  And - whatever happens as a result of one of your guests - you will be responsible. 

The hotels in Rio have non-registered guest policies for a reason - your safety & the other guests. I’ve found it’s somewhat flexible depending on time of day & how your guest presents themself. The hotels offer a better layer of security than AirBnBs anyway - much better for a first time visitor. Always a good idea to make sure your guest knows he has to pass through security & show ID before getting into your room, whether that’s true or not.   
Of course - the best advice is keep all the sex at the saunas where it’s convenient & safe. 
I’ve been in Rio more than a dozen times - always a nice hotel with a pool & all the services.  When I first started going I remember wanting to bring guys to my hotel & I did a few times during the day without issues. That changed when I found one of the guys waiting for me (uninvited) outside my hotel a couple of times. After that, only the saunas in Rio.

well then - given English is the default language in Thailand for all foreigners, including Japanese, Chinese, Indians, Europeans, Russians, etc  and the Thais who communicate with them  -  it would seem they are “pandering” to everyone who is not Thai.  
It’s the Thai people who have elected to use that term and put into everyday usage.  And the very people who are the ladyboys are the people using that word the most - calling out to all foreigners passing by the numerous venues.  Hard to fathom they would continue to use a word they find so deeply insulting & derogatory over & over & over. 
So, it’s not really for me - it’s for everyone who is not Thai.  And that would include you & likely everyone else reading this forum.
i guess you’re using “Thainglish” as a descriptor to imply the Thais don’t really know what they’re saying or some inappropriate mash-up of English & Thai.  “Thainglish” is not a word in common usage & I doubt you’d hear Thai people use that themselves.  That’s insulting, derogatory & condescending.   But, if thats “amusing” for you - then who is really lacking the cultural sensitivities ?  Hypocrites generally lack self-awareness which is on full-display here.

While Barcelona has it charms, including Thermas & many providers - it hasn’t been considered “lovely” for years.  It’s one of the most over-touristed cities in the world, overrun with obnoxious loud Americans, digital nomads & cruise ship passengers. And it’s become very dirty & sketchy (in parts) post Catalonia independence movement when most major banks & business fled Barcelona to Madrid. There’s an economic malaise that’s settled in which translates to a general decline overall.   It’s still worth a visit and I go frequently - but lovely is just not a word to describe Barcelona in its current state.  Other than Thermas, which is the defining variable in this discussion - Madrid is superior in every way.  Wikipedia might say something different, of course 
and as per usual - the trolls hijack a thread with comments that have nothing to do with OPs original question. the goal, it seems is to make it all about them.  What’s amusing to me are the people who troll these forums but post nothing about the core subject matter, meaning providers & venues.  Obviously the agenda is for something else.

I only have great memories of Rio from 22 years ago. I mixed with the locals every day during the daytime. I paint so several days I took my artists pad and pastels and sketched scenes on the beach and in the local outdoor food market. 
 
The kids would surround me and not being able to communicate with them , they would give me the thumbs up to indicate their approval. And big smiles. 
 
After visiting the saunas in the early evening we would go out to dinner near the beaches, take taxis as required and sit in a local square near our hotel later having drinks. 
 
I’m glad to have these memories and when I look at the oil paintings in my house that I did later from the sketches and the framed sketches themselves, some of which I gave to family, I am reminded of that great vacation. 

and last night too - Sunday.  
Was much less busy late afternoon/early evening compared to Friday & Saturday.  I’d say the crowd was about 50% less than the other nights.  Still had fun & totally different energy, much more relaxed and seemed like a lot more people at the bar and socializing vs going off to rooms.  You can still find what you’re looking for on a Sunday.  While there were much fewer working guys, the quality was still A+.

and again last night (Saturday).  I’ve been going to Thermas for at least 15 years and this is the best I’ve ever seen it - in terms of the men.  It has definitely changed for the better imo.  Depends on your taste, but if you like masculine Latino men early 30s, then this is the pace for you.  
It feels like because of the private parties and everyone knows they’re leaving by 10:30p, it’s much busier much earlier.  I got there about 3;30p - by 5p very busy. At 6p it’s packed.  No waiting for rooms because they have so many.  
If I didn’t know exactly where I was, I’d swear it’s a Brazilian sauna in São Paulo. It’s that good without any of the downside. 
The guys who owns Thermas is relatively hands-on and he is visible.  Very handsome man in his 40s.  Whatever he is doing works because the men there are consistently friendly, there is no pressure and they are honest.  And they do what they say they will do & more. I recognized a couple guys from RM and other apps, yet at Thermas they all charge 50euro.  I think it’s a great setting to meet someone & go elsewhere if you want more time.  For me, 4 hours at Thermas is enough and back to hotel.
If you haven’t been, add Barcelona & Thermas to your list. If you indulge in this hobby, it’s a must. 

 

I was at Thermas last night.  They had one of the private parties last night so they had a soft closing at 11p, meaning nobody was asking people to leave, but almost all working guys were gone by 10:30p and major clean-up had begun.  They advertise the parties start at 11p and go until 3p the next day.  
I don’t think there is much overlap between the two crowds that go the the night parties and regular sauna hours.  The guys really had no complaints about the parties, they just adjusted and seem used to it.
I arrived yesterday about 3;30p and it was very active - more so than I remember at same time on previous visits.  It seems like the guys have almost completely changed with many of the regulars either have gone back to home countries for a bit or have just moved on.  Only a few familar faces compared to last visit a couple months ago.  And the guys there now seem to be consistently a bit older, more masculine/macho types.  I didn’t see any early 20s, it was more like most were early 30s or appeared that way.
There seems to be confusion among staff when parties are being held - a few weren’tsure there was one happening last night.  After a few minutes back & forth they got it straight.
it seems more clean than before too - the parties seem to have forced a more thorough cleaning protocol.
the men were friendly as usual, all quoted 50euros for their time and it was great.  Still the best sauna imo in terms of quality & quality of men, costs, safety/security and ease of access.  The parties don’t really change much for vast majority of clients although I always liked the late mornings & afternoons there.
Mainly Brazilians yesterday with a Venezuelans, Colombians and a few Dominicans in the mix. 

Quoting now $350 Tantric massage for 1 hour.

I see all the comments here about coed parties at Thermas - yet, I’ve never experienced it not being open due to these events….and I go there a lot.  No way this happens with any frequency.  
No mention of it on their website - just says open 24/7

He was $100 on MF and now jumped to $150 and “ask me” for RMasseur.  This is exactly the reason why I like to get them early.  
Having said that, if $150 got me a sensual/erotic massage with him I would still do it.  He’s good, and so fucking sexy.
